Transmigrating as the Younger Sister of a Bigshot with Multiple Identities

Chapter 699: Haemorrhage

Chapter 699: Haemorrhage

Before Gu Yang could even register the approaching car, she found herself propelled forward by Gu Jin’s forceful shove, colliding with Feng Jue’s solid chest.

Feng Jue’s reflexes kicked in just in time to catch Gu Yang in his arms.

Concern for Gu Jin didn’t even register for Feng Jue. He knew she was an SS-class Mutant like himself, possessing strength far beyond the ordinary. Even if she faced a speeding car head-on, she’d likely emerge with only superficial injuries.

At least, that’s what Gu Jin had assumed in that split second.

But Gu Yang’s mutation leaned more towards mental prowess than physical prowess, and coupled with her hemophilia, any injury could be perilous.

In that split second, Gu Jin’s uncertainty about her ability to shield Gu Yang from harm led her to instinctively push her towards Feng Jue.

Despite her annoyance with Feng Jue, she trusted he wouldn’t let his sister come to harm.

Yet, she hadn’t anticipated Ruan Xueling’s sudden intervention, pushing her out of harm’s way.

The sound of impact echoed in her ears, leaving Gu Jin momentarily stunned, her vision tinged with red.

“Mom!”

Gu Yang spun around, witnessing Ruan Xueling hurtling through the air, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

She couldn’t bear to stay rooted to the spot, her legs unsteady as she moved towards Ruan Xueling’s direction.

Feng Jue, caught off guard by the sudden turn of events, instinctively reached out to steady Gu Yang, preventing her from collapsing.

Gu Pei stood frozen, then lunged forward, clutching her arm, his voice breaking with panic, “Mom! You have to be okay!”

“Easy, don’t jostle her!” Gu Jin’s voice cut through the commotion, but it was Feng Jue who swiftly restrained Gu Pei’s agitated movements.

With urgency, Gu Jin hurried forward, crouching beside Ruan Xueling to assess her condition.

Her typically composed demeanor faltered as she reached out to touch Ruan Xueling, her hand trembling.

“Sweetheart!”

Gu Zhaoming stumbled through the crowd, his senses numbed by the abruptness of the accident.

The scene descended into chaos. Some parents dialed emergency services, while others clustered around the motionless car, trying to make sense of the situation.

The examination venue lay nearby, teeming with police officers who swiftly moved to take control of the chaotic scene.

“Sis, how’s Mom?” Gu Yang’s voice quivered, her eyes swollen with tears.

“She’s bleeding heavily…” Gu Jin’s expression darkened. “Go fetch my bag from the car!”

Before Gu Yang could rise, Feng Jue gently pressed her back down. “I’ll go. Sit tight, sis.”

With determination, he maneuvered through the throng and darted towards Gu Zhaoming’s car to retrieve Gu Jin’s bag.

Gu Zhaoming knelt beside his wife, anguish etched across his features. His gaze swept desperately through the crowd. “Where’s the ambulance? Why isn’t it here yet?”

Gu Jin accepted the bag from Feng Jue, swiftly extracting a pill and placing it in Ruan Xueling’s mouth.

It was a revolutionary medication from the Yangning Research Institute, designed to halt bleeding. Initially intended for her sister’s hemophilia, now it was Ruan Xueling who needed it desperately. Without prompt intervention, she risked slipping into shock before the ambulance could arrive.

Gu Pei dabbed at his tears and turned to Gu Jin, his voice quivering, “What did you give Mom?”

Gu Zhaoming’s gaze fixed on Gu Jin, awaiting her answer.

Gu Jin’s response was succinct, “Hemostatic medication.”

Sensing potential doubt in Gu Zhaoming and Gu Pei, Gu Yang subtly reassured them, “Dad, little bro, trust sis.”

In that moment, Ruan Xueling stirred from her unconscious state, her eyes fluttering weakly open. “Jin, Yangyang, are you both okay?”

Gu Yang grasped her mother’s hand firmly. “We’re fine, Mom. And you’ll be too.”

Just then, the distant wail of an ambulance pierced the air, drawing nearer by the second.
