Chapter 138 Twin Hearts Fruit and the Undying Ceremony
She had never been this sexually active. Even when it must\'ve hurt, she didn\'t make him stop. In fact, he had to stop it himself, or he might have fucked her till she passed out. He wondered if this was a way of revenge for her, was she doing this to show something?
Yue Li tightened her cuddle and muttered, a pout in her tone, "Shut up, let me sleep."
Han Li was a bit surprised, but smilingly, he kissed the top of her head.
"Are you angry?"
"Why would I be? That felt amazing." Yue Li shook her head.
"What are you feeling right now?"
"A lot, many things. Especially pain, it hurts, you idiot, you were too rough the last few times."
"Am I the idiot now? You should have told me it hurts; you were just moaning, Mom."
Yue Li scoffed, planting a kiss on his naked chest. "Don\'t worry about it. I forgive it because if you didn\'t act as my meat bed, I would\'ve had to sleep on the cold hard floor."
"No, it feels nice for me too, you don\'t know, but honestly, your boobs feel very nice against my chest. So, it is a bonus for me. And I am a filial son, I can\'t be disrespectful and make my mother sleep on the ground when I have such a well-fed body."
Yue Li scoffed at the sarcasm in his tone. "What filial son would fuck his mom, you are no filial son. And jokes aside, you are still certainly the less sincere one among us. I might be a fool, but I am an honest fool. I don\'t say I love my son to the moon and keep secrets from him. Vital secrets at that. So you do deserve to be trashed, not just my bed, you deserve all the bad things I do to you."
"You did keep secrets at some point," Han Li muttered in dissatisfaction. \'And you never do bad things to me, usually.\'
"I don\'t have any secrets now, so you can\'t call me out on it, but I can call you out on it till you stop keeping it, too. What to say, you even know where my secret moles are, don\'t you? So what is there more to say about?"
"I told you I would tell you someday; you seemed satisfied by the answer then…" Han Li hugged her closer to his chest. Yue Li turned silent for a long time. Once again, she remembered the source of her restlessness that she had briefly pushed away from her mind using her son\'s warmth.
"Xi… Xiao Li, did you…" she stuttered slightly, and Han Li could see she had been avoiding thinking about this. "Did you really kill someone?"
"Mom, do you really want to know?"
Yue Li\'s energy deflated like air from a balloon. She breathed heavily. In fact, Han Li could feel her heart thudding dangerously inside her ribs. He grew worried.
\'Was this too quick?\' he sighed inside his heart. In the previous timeline, his mother had seen a lot of murders—especially when he had become the Slave of the Wisdom Seeking Villa, but his current mom hadn\'t gone through the harsh times yet.
She had not seen the darkness beyond the veil of peace.
"Have you killed anyone else before this?" she asked, her clawing hands against his chest made him understand just how restless the event had gotten her. \'Tell me this was your first!\' she screamed inside herself. Her son was so, so innocent. Someone who saw \'Have sex with a virgin woman\' and went \'I have to get a wife\' immediately after getting that book. What had changed that gentle soul so much?
She knew he was somewhat indifferent but never so cruel.
"Mom, whatever I do, it is for us."
"Do we have to kill?"
"We will if they threaten our lives."
"…if not?"
Han Li wondered about that question. In honest terms, as long as it didn\'t benefit him, he wouldn\'t bother killing. But if it benefitted him and if they didn\'t threaten him or his beloved at all?
"There is a ceremony, Mom—"
"Don\'t change the subject, or I will just jump into the river."
"Strong threat there, but listen."
"One chance, and if it is something unrelated to the current matter, I will take it as you don\'t consider me your equal, and that will break my heart."
"So dramatic," Han Li sweated slightly. "But listen, there is an ancient ceremony called the Dao Companion ceremony. Which is nowadays called the Twin Hearts ceremony. It needs a unique resource to accomplish, but we can do it if we get any sort of \'Life Type\' magical resource. We can Luck-trade it after all."
"Tell me, what does this ceremony do?" she asked, her tone rather suspicious of his intent.
"It is a ceremony that a person can only go through once in their life; if you conduct it, there are a lot of benefits; in fact, conducting it is one of my greatest goals."
"…What happens if you conduct a Dao Companion Ceremony?"
"You and I will become one. Entirely. In fact, we will be like twins then. We can split into two whenever we wish to and be one single body once we wish to. The greatest thing? We can also use both the power of the Lust Spark and of the Rainwater Spark, which will both later evolve to become Life Great Dao and Water Great Dao. We only have to fuse when we are about to fight. And then there is a scarier benefit to it, something that I want more than anything."
"…What is it?" she asked, her heart was beating wildly.
"Heh, even if one of us dies somewhere in another part of the world, as long as the other is safe, we will be reborn in each other\'s Empty Space. Powerful, right?"
"What a broken power. Why don\'t we do it immediately?"
"One of the reasons is a lack of life-type magical resources. What I need is a Twin Heart Fruit, but any Life Type is enough for us. That is still only one issue; the second is—that I don\'t know how to do it. I just know about two people who would do this some years from now, and they are far away from here."
"Uh… so you don\'t know how to do it," Yue Li grumbled. "And this really had no relation with the current matters. Are you joking with me?"
"We will go through the ceremony or something similar one day or the other, and you have to understand that becoming one is not just physical—our mind, our spirit, our thoughts, everything will be one in that fused state. So, you will know what you want to know at that point."
"Till then?" Yue Li blinked, finally understanding his scheme.
"I won\'t tell you anything. You have to endure the secrets."
Yue Li breathed out. Rather calm. "Okay, but I have two conditions."
"Which are?"
"First and foremost, no more killings, and no question about this part. Second, I am entitled to anything I desire regarding you. If I want to… lick something, you are not allowed to resist or decline."
Han Li\'s brows twitched. No wonder she was his mother, taking advantage of the situation.
"I can\'t agree with both of these. Both are unfair!"
What if someone attacks them?
"Okay, I am a reasonable mother, and as far as I saw," she sniffed, still rather unsettled deep down. "…my son is a sort of psychopath at the moment who didn\'t even say he won\'t kill unless he is threatened, so I am worried. Even though I feel calm when you are here now, I am sure I will panic from now on when I let you out alone, so Xiao Li, promise me you won\'t kill again. At least, forget about the second thing." n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
He coughed and muttered, "I wonder how the fight outside—"
"Xiao Li, I really, really don\'t want to be scared of you, not even a bit, and honestly, I feel a bit scared. Not for myself, sure, but for others. If you don\'t promise now, I promise you, it will hurt me. Do you really want to hurt me?" Yue Li said with moist eyes.
Han Li cursed, "This is emotional manipulation."
"Promise now, in the name of your love for me."
Han Li was in a dilemma. He became super silent.
