Chapter 41 Study the Dao, Mom!
Chapter 41 Study the Dao, Mom!
"You woke up earlier than me again…" Han Li said, slightly groggy from sleep.
He wasn\'t one to sleep deeply, usually, he slept while being on alert and that was his habit. But after coming back in time, he was relaxed. Especially in his mother\'s presence.
So, he ended up having somewhat of a deep sleep these days.
"Yeah, I woke up way earlier than you." Yue Li looked at his face and said with a morning smile. "I set up tea, breakfast, and even snacks already."
Han Li hugged her a bit tighter. "You came and slept on top of me after doing all that?"
Yue Li laid her head on his chest. "Yeah, you slept more comfortably when I did that."
"I see…" Han Li gently patted her head. "You smell so nice. Did you have a bath?"
"Yes. I did," she replied, "The water was so cold."
"If I had brushed… I would have kissed you deeply now," Han Li said.
"Oh…am I irritating you now?" Yue Li asked with a pout.
"Of course, you are always irritating," Han Li said, "You even slept before I came back home yesterday."
He had wanted to have some fun but she just didn\'t want to allow that. She slept before he reached back home.
Yue Li said with feigned anger. "It\'s not like you didn\'t do anything while I was asleep. Even when I woke up, your fingers were inside… why did you think I had to bathe so early in the morning?"
Han Li chuckled.
She displayed no shame and was truly one-of-a-kind. She had always boldly expressed her love for him without any hesitation.
Even when he was not allowed to touch her down there, she never showed shyness. She was rather bold even then.
"Did it feel good though?" Han Li asked with a smile in his voice.
Yue Li blushed a bit. "Of course, it felt good. You can do it every time from now."
"It\'s always me pleasuring you. You will have to do it for me too." Han Li said, really, he also deserved some. Even though he liked pleasuring her more.
Yue Li nodded. This time really a bit shy.
Having said that, Han Li added a bit seriously, "I have some bad news for you. Tomorrow is the Awakening ceremony and today, I want you to learn all the basics of Cultivation. You will have to study a lot today."
Yue Li smiled. "I also want to continue the training, it\'s quite fun."
Before they both Awakened, they rarely had something that they both liked doing together. Of course, except love. But Yue Li had always wished there was something like Animes or Games here that she could use to spend time with him.
This training was like a replacement for that.
"I will go brush first, and then tea, food, and stuff before training begins. And… if you study everything I give today clearly…"
"If I do?"
"I will give you a gift. A big Gift."
"Okay," Yue Li smiled, she liked surprises. "Then I will also give you a small surprise."
"Oh? What surprise?"
Yue Li blushed and moved her face to his side. She whispered in his ear, "When I woke up, your thing was standing and it looked painfully hard. So I tried to calm it down… I thought you would wake up but you didn\'t."
Han Li looked at her with surprise clearly written on his face. "Really? What did you do?"
Yue Li blushed more. "I gave it a kiss and used my hands to play with it."
"No wonder I didn\'t have a morning wood. You better do that when I am awake next time."
Yue Li nodded. Han Li gently laid her to the side and said, "Let\'s get to work."
There was no time to waste.
…
After washing himself. Han Li and Yue Li had their breakfast. He also got enough Banana fries to eat today since instead of him, Yue Li had gone to the markets early morning.
She had even bought meat. Of course, she hadn\'t cooked it yet.
Their breakfast was just bread and omelet. And some fried vegetables that she liked to cook.
Having filled their stomachs, he no longer allowed her to slack and brought her to the room. Then, taking a book and ink, he started her studies.
"Okay, Mom, tell me all you know about Cultivation," Han Li asked.
Yue Li pondered and said, "I don\'t know a lot about it."
"Say what you know." "I know that the first Stage of cultivation is \'Awakening\'," She counted, "Second is Evolution and the third is Power Birth."
Han Li nodded, "Correct names. But I like to call Awakening as the Second Stage of cultivation and Spark Acquiring as the first Stage. Even though more than 99% of the people are born with a spark and cultivate already."
Yue Li nodded. "Then it goes first stage Spark Acquiring, then Awakening, Evolution, and Power Birth. Right?"
"Yes, there are more Stages after that and in the end, the 7th Stage is the Stage the strongest cultivators we ever know were at. Sacred Demons."
"So we are at the second Stage and the 7th Stage is the most powerful? That much is simple." Even she can learn it easily.
"That\'s just the Cultivation Stages. Knowing that makes no difference. What you have to know is what they entail and what you have to do to reach the next stage. Also, what happens after you reach the next stage is something important too."
"Okay!" Yue Li nodded, pumped.
"So, tell me what else do you know about Cultivators?"
"Cultivators are strong people who get more stronger the higher stage they are in."
"Correct."
"They have many magical capabilities that…Mortals can\'t even understand."
"Not exactly wrong."
"They live for much longer than us."
"Yes, but you are now a cultivator too. \'Us\' is the cultivators now and \'They\' are the mortals."
"Oh…" n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"There is also more you have to know, this is just the most basic of things. I will tell you some of the important things. Try to memorize and write it down on the note."
Yue Li took the ink and paper. Then listened.
"Our talent, as your system shows, is a very, very important thing in the cultivation world. The higher your Stage, the more impactful it will be."
She wrote down what he said. He waited till she was over with it and then continued.
"For Average-Level Talents, the Empty Space inside them would just have a 1-meter distance. That would be the limit of their Soul Sense too. I can at the moment only see about 1.5 meters with my Soul Sense when the Spark is out."
She noted.
"Then for the High-Level Talents, the Empty Space inside them would be 3 meters wide. And they can also sense that much when the spark is out."
She noted while nodding.
"Then there are people with the Sacred Talent. Like you for example. They have a 5-meter Empty Space and they can see 5 meters when the Spark is out."
She noted that too.
"The area of the Empty Space determines many things other than senses too Mom, It determines how much Energy you can store in your body. And that in turn determines how long you can sustain your Powers that you will gain after Evolving. People with Average-Talent would easily tire themselves using the powers once or twice whereas you can use it 10 times and you would still not be completely tired out."
"Okay!" She noted.
"And last thing for now, every Stage you go up in cultivation. For example, from Awakening Stage to the Evolution Stage, The Empty Space would double in size. Your 5 meters would become ten and that ten would become 20 when you reach Power Birth."
"Uh? Then wouldn\'t that mean people with Average Talent would only have 2-meter Empty Spaces when they become Evolution Stage?!" Even she had 5 meters already.
"Yes, they could only sense around 2 Meters of them. And even if they become Power Birth Stage cultivators, they can only see 4 Meters around them."
Of course, the Stage after that was quite different but Yue Li doesn\'t have to know about it now.
"Isn\'t your talent Average too Xiao Li?" Yue Li asked worriedly.
"Not for long, if you put in effort, it should be easy… I just have to absorb that Lust out of you." Han Li chuckled.
Yue Li didn\'t mind and wrote down what she understood. Han Li smiled. "But all of cultivation is always dependent on the Spark. There are many things you have yet to learn. This is just the basics, so don\'t get smug."
"I am not smug." Yue Li wrote the last word down.
"I bet learning about the 7 Great Daos would be even more fun."
Yue Li flinched. "Let me learn all of this first!"
"Yeah, that much is enough for now. Study."
"…I used to think it would be the other way," Yue Li smiled, "Aren\'t mothers supposed to be the ones to teach their kids?"
"Your son is too good. Don\'t compare him to the rest."
"Maybe…" Yue Li smiled more.
"Sweetness won\'t let you rest. Study, study, my dumb mom."
