Chapter 163: A night to remember - Part 2
From human trafficking to slave trade, various gambling dens, extortion, brothels, and others.
For the White Wolf gang to maintain their stand in the outer region for years, they had many deals with many inner and core clans.
That was why it was easy for them to come in and out of the inner region as it was their backyard.
Moreover, with the sudden disappearance of the Wang, Liu, and Chen clans, Baiyun city had been in a state of turmoil.
Undercurrent fights had been going on. Every clan was trying to fight for a piece of the cake from the missing clans.
In such tumultuous times, the Cao clan presented themselves on a platter of gold. How could they now receive them with open arms?
With one less clan in Baiyun city, the city won\'t feel their presence and continue like usual.
Therefore, those that knew what was happening in the Cao clan couldn\'t wait to hear the good news.
Contrary to what everyone expected, inside the White Wolf den, heads were flying in the sky like fireworks.
Various decibels of screams echoed continuously. A lone woman dressed in light armor cut anyone and anything on her path into pieces.
Live meant nothing in front of her sword.
Hearing the various screams of his men, Rong rushed with his large hammer. This was the night that would change his life trajectory and allow him to escape from the clutches of those greedy bastards.
But now, some fools were causing commotion in his den.
Rushing into his home, only to find out it was a single woman killing his men like flies.
"Who the hell are you!" Rong screamed and released the pressure of early Foundation Building realm stage 3.
From his observation, he saw the woman was only at the peak of Qi Refinement; therefore, he wanted to end everything as quickly as possible and went back to his thing.
From the corner of her eyes, Biyu looked at the burly man for a split second and averted her gaze as if she saw something inconsequential.
As for the pressure coming from Rong, it was like a gentle breeze from the southern sea.
\'Oh, I\'m missing home already.\' She thought and cut off the neck of the gang rushing toward her.
With another slash, she cut the headless man into two before moving to another gang member as if she had just done a normal thing.
Perhaps, as a veteran soldier, death meant nothing to her.
Noticing that his pressure was useless against Biyu, Rong creased his brow. A sudden foreboding feeling crept into his heart.
He had never seen or heard of any Qi Refinement expert that could other Qi Refinement warriors as if she was cutting vegetables.
Still, this was his home and a Foundation Building realm. How could he cower in front of a mere Qi Refinement woman?
"Bone Shattering Hammer Attack," he shouted and swung his hammer toward Biyu\'s head.
Biyu saw the deadly hammer; she kicked the person in front of her and turned to face Rong.
Whoosh!
She sidestepped at an extreme speed, avoiding the deadly hammer attack.
Bang!
The hammer crashed to the ground, seeding a cloud of dust to the sky.
Rong was slightly surprised by how Biyu easily dodged his attack. However, before he could recover, a deadly sharp sword light flashed toward his waist.
Without wasting time, he wanted to avoid the attack, only to find out he can\'t move his body.
Bang!
Ah!
A miserable scream escaped from him as blood splattered out from his waist. The injury was deep, showing some organs.
He retreated with trembling legs, fear and panic etched on his face.
In just one exchange, he had sustained a gruesome injury. All his previous confidence had long dispersed.
\'What sort of Qi Refinement warrior is this?!\' He cried in his mind.
\'I must stall time for men to arrive.\'
With that thought, he opened his mouth and spoke. "Why are you attacking me and people? I\'ve never seen you or had any business with you. If my men offended you in any way, please let it go; I\'m willing to compensate you with everything."
A light chuckle escaped from Biyu\'s mouth as she took a step.
Whoosh!
\'Danger!\' Rong screamed in his mind.
His plan to stall for time was ineffective. Even though he was in pain, he gritted his teeth and raised his hammer to defend himself.
A blinding light flashed on his other side of his waist, and he quickly tried to defend the sword attack, only to find himself frozen for a moment.
Slash!
Ah!
Rong cried in pain as he stumbled back. His waist was almost severed from his body.
In a desperate attempt to stop his organs from falling off from his stomach, he used both hands to hold his waist together.
Despair crept up his face, grimacing in pain. He had never felt such pain in his life.
He could feel his life slipping off from his body. He knew the claw was already him and quickly pleaded for his life.
"Please don\'t kill me. I will give you anything you want," he cried.
"Good boy, that\'s what I wanted to hear," Biyu said.
A sigh of relief escaped from Rong\'s mouth when he saw that Biyu could be reasoned with.
As for his wealth, he didn\'t care as long as he used it to preserve his life. He could gather another one.
So he thought.
Biyu didn\'t care about his injury and dragged him toward his treasure stash.
After a couple of minutes, Biyu left the White Wolf gang building with slow, unhurried steps.
With every step, she blended into the cover of the night. Her previous carnage seemed not to have any relation to her.
Tonight should be a night of merriment and laughter for the White Wolf gang members and those supporting them from behind.
Alas...
