The dilapidated stone walls, over three meters high, were already lined with groups of Jackalwolves, their faces set in a grim and vigilant watch over the approaching Skeleton Army.

“Holding the city with organization and discipline, are these still mere dungeon monsters?”

When previously slaughtering Jackalwolf squads, I had seen several instances of Jackalwolves coordinating attacks, a phenomenon that was absolutely non- existent in past dungeons.

“The Second Order dungeon has lifted the restrictions on monster intelligence by a few levels. If that’s the case, is the intelligence of the hero BOSS nearly on par with normal human beings, and if so, is it still bound by the hate mechanism?”

Scanning the city wall for Jackalwolf monsters, I saw many rare mini BOSSes but there was no sign of the hero BOSS.

“Are they hiding, or do they simply not care about the losses of the Jackalwolves?”

Just on one side of the wall, there were more than six to seven hundred Jackalwolves, and considering the orc race’s universal conscription, including the old, weak and young, there must be upwards of three thousand Jackalwolves inside the city.

A fearless death charge!

When over two hundred Skeleton Knights had all been reduced to bone dust, the city wall, too, had its layer of stone chipped away, yet it hadn’t caused the slightest harm to the Jackalwolves atop the wall.

“This stone wall, though looking decrepit, is actually quite sturdy. Well then Vulture Legion, your turn!”

With the seemingly unchanged stone wall in view, Zi Liyuan lost interest in sending more Skeleton Knights to continue the assault.

So, with a wave of the Magic Wand, 256 Vulture Skeletons appeared in a grand entrance amidst the huge summoning Array.

With a Nether Crystal Core in hand, I have ensured that my Skeleton summons are well-stocked for sea, land, and air.

Before, while running through dungeons, I would summon Vulture Skeletons for reconnaissance; later, when I could steamroll through dungeons, I found no need to summon them anymore.

Now, in the siege, Skeleton Knights are practically useless; to get over the three-meter-high walls, only the Skeleton Behemoth and Vulture Skeletons among my summoned Skeletons might be able to manage it.

The Skeleton Behemoth can run and jump. They are able to leap onto the three- meter walls, but approachingwithin a hundred meters of the wall would expose them to arrow fire; by the time they reach the base of the wall, they’d likely have lost more than half their number, especially since they don’t have the same physical resistance and vitality as Skeleton Knights.

But Vulture Skeletons are different; they can soar in the sky, are quite agile in the air, and can perform swift diving attacks. The Jackalwolves’ arrows have a limited shooting height, so to form an arrow rain that annihilates Vulture Skeletons like it did Skeleton Knights would be far more difficult.
