From Nun to Real Heiress: Expert at Turning the Tables

Chapter 80 - 80: 060 Tiger’s Den (Second Update)

Ming Jing had just finished her shower and lied down on the bed, when Zheng Qing entered the room through the window carrying a delicate bag.

Ming Jing opened her eyes: “What are you doing?”

Zheng Qing pulled out various bottles and jars from the bag, placing them on the empty dressing table.

“These are all the skincare products that I used to endorse, purely formulated with plants, they won’t harm your skin. If you often change your appearance, it can be very damaging to your skin, it’s more crucial for you to take good care of it.” She uncapped a bottle of cream, scooped out a small amount, and applied it to Ming Jing’s face.

Ming Jing wrinkled her brows at her, but did not refuse her.

“The most important thing for your skin is to hydrate, you used to live in the mountains where the climate is dry. Though your skin is very white and flawless, it is a bit dry. Please remember to moisturize before bed; I’ve left the creams here for you.”

Ming Jing nodded.

“By the way, your cheap mom, I’ve underestimated her. She secretly made a will, do you know what’s in it?”

Ming Jing remained silent.

Zheng Qing could no longer hold it in; she would never beat Ming Jing at a patience contest.

“She divided all her real estate properties, jewels, paintings, and other assets into two portions in her will. A larger portion was given to you and a smaller one to Zhu Shaodan. Zhu Xiangxiang’s name wasn’t even mentioned in the will.

It seems she is not that stupid after all.”

Ming Jing asked, “Is Zhu Wentao planning to divorce her?”

“Pretty much, Zhu Wentao has diluted her shares in the company; now he is the sole owner. That woman Zhou Ling is pushing him hard, I guess it won’t be long. What will you do then? Do you still want this identity?”

Ming Jing closed her eyes: “Gather some information for me about the Zhu

Group, then you should go to sleep.”

Zheng Qing started laughing: “I knew you couldn’t give this up.”

After Zheng Qing left, the room returned to silence.

In the darkness, Ming Jing slowly opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling for a long time.

She placed both her hands on her chest, turning her Buddhist beads one by

one, slowly, just like her heartbeat at the moment.

“Senior…”

News broke out that Shengda Group has declared bankruptcy and liquidation.

The CEO of Shengda has been invited for tea due to a debt crisis, and Spring Academy, once the housing market’s focal point, has now become an unfinished project. The news shocked everyone in Manjiangzhou.

Countless property owners rushed over to the Zhu Group to demand an explanation. As the stock market opened, the Zhu Group’s stock price plummeted.

The company urgently called a shareholders’ meeting to discuss solutions.

All the shareholders gathered together, waiting for the chairman to come to the meeting.

Zhu Wentao made his appearance accompanied by Secretary Wang. Despite the significant incident at the company, he still appeared vibrant. Everybody sneered secretly, “Looks like his life with Mr. Zhou was pretty fulfilling.” “All shareholders are here, right? Good, let’s start the meeting.”

“Who said everyone is here?” As the voice died away, the conference room door swung open, and a sophisticatedly made-up middle-aged woman walked in.

Seeing who had arrived, the shareholders looked at Zhu Wentao in surprise. Some were excited for the show, and others took pleasure in his misfortune.

“Madam Zhu.” The shareholders greeted her one after another.

Zhu Wentao coldly regarded Lin Qing.

Lin Qing swept a glance around; all the seats were taken.

She turned her head to Secretary Wang and ordered: “Secretary Wang, could you please bring me a chair from the next conference room?”

Secretary Wang instinctively looked at Zhu Wentao, who waved his hand. Secretary Wang excused himself as if pardoned.

Lin Qing removed her sunglasses and, standing next to Zhu Wentao, greeted the elderly man with white hair at the bottom of the table with a smile: “Uncle Zhang, it looks like you’ve been keeping well. I heard you were delighted to have a grandson recently. Congratulations.”

Uncle Zhang laughed and said, “We will hold the man yue (full moon) party on the sixth day of next month. You must come.”

“Rest assured, I’ve even prepared a red envelope.”

Then, she turned to the middle-aged man with a bald head on her right and said with a smile: “Mr. Li, your face is glowing with joy. Your daughter got into Stanford University, it seems good things are happening in your family. Good fortune indeed.”

Mr. Li was pleased and said, “Miss Zhu is so outstanding, Madam Zhu is also blessed.”

Secretary Wang quickly returned with a chair and Lin Qing gestured for him to place it opposite the main seat: “Put it there.”

No one had ever sat in that seat because the spot was right across from the Chairman.

With all the shareholders watching, Secretary Wang couldn’t say anything. He moved the chair there.

Lin Qing, her handbag slung over her shoulder, with high heels and her head held high, strutted over.

After sitting down and before Zhu Wentao could speak, she preemptively said: “Dear shareholders, hello, as the chairman’s wife and major shareholder, I am deeply saddened by the current crisis that the company is going through. It is a critical time for our company, and we must all work together to overcome

these difficulties..”
