From A Stronghold NPC To The Final BOSS

Chapter 54

Qin Shujian behaved like nobody else around him as he slashed the players dead without giving it a second thought.

Even though there were a lot of players, they were completely useless when faced with Qin Shujian.

When Qin Shujian’s gaze fell upon a certain area, Liu Qinghong felt all his hair stand on end. He immediately started retreating like crazy without even hesitating for a moment.

Retreat!

That was the first reaction Liu Qinghong had in his mind.

Even Xing Jia couldn’t hold up against one punch from this Boss.

Out of so many players, not a single one was able to stand after this Boss slashed them.

Even though Liu Qinghong knew that he was quite powerful himself, he didn’t have the confidence to face Qin Shujian head on.

But, he ran very quickly.

But the blade of the knife fell even more quickly.

In just three seconds, Liu Qinghong wasn’t able to increase the distance between himself and Qin Shujian.

Instead, the Tiger Head Blade seemed to become bigger and bigger.

In the end, the blade swung towards him.

A white glow shone.

A small dagger fell to the ground and Liu Qinghong had to be revived.

First it was Xing Jia, then it was Liu Qinghong.

All these players who were the Starter Village’s top fighters couldn’t even get through one round with Qin Shujian.

With such a vast difference in power, Fu Moyan and the rest finally felt the desire to retreat.

It wasn’t easy to kill off a Boss.

It was normal for the process to be long and difficult.

But, no matter how tough and winding the road was, and no matter how difficult the process was, they needed to see that there was hope in succeeding.

But now, Fu Moyan and the rest couldn’t see any hope in killing off the Boss in front of them.

Nothing seemed to be able to hurt this Boss!

Even after allowing arrows to rain on him, they didn’t even make a dent. Even when some of the close range players managed to attack him now and then, they couldn’t break through his defense at all.

The even more scary part was, this boss was excellent at both attacking and defense!

It didn’t matter if you were a Henglian player or you were a pro at Martial Entry-Level Five.

In front of this Boss, everybody was pitifully weak and would be killed in seconds by the slash of his knife.

They couldn’t break through his defenses at all, and they died with just one blow from the opponent.

The two sides were at completely different levels.

Continuing the fight was just making life difficult for themselves.

“Retreat!” Fu Moyan endured the pain in his heart and finally made this decision.

All the players in his team got the order and immediately left the battle scene.

“Fu Moyan!!” Li Zongwen was furious.

It was already difficult enough to go up against the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain.

And now, Fu Moyan was actually retreating.

Once that happened, the strength of the players attacking the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain would weaken by a few points.

But more importantly, once Fu Moyan brought his team away with him, it started to make the already unsteady hearts of the remaining players waver.

After all, once you died, you would drop by one stage.

It took quite a bit of time for each player to rise in stage in this game.

And now, they were still in the early stages of the game. The effort needed to get from one stage to another might increase along the way, so none of the players wanted to end up facing such an issue if they didn’t have to.

When Fu Moyan took his team out from this battle.

Other players finally wavered in their hearts and were beginning to move away from the battle and wanted to retreat.

There was a conflicted look in Yang Yue’s eyes for a while, but her eyes calmed down soon after that. She bit her thin lips and shouted loudly, “We’ll retreat too!”

Once she said that,

“Retreat!”

“Let’s retreat!”

The leaders of the other groups started giving similar commands.

The teams that had come together to surround and attack the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain were now suddenly retreating.

Li Zongwen felt a tremendous fury rising in his heart, but when he saw how Qin Shujian was happily going around and killing everybody, he finally felt like a cold tub of water had been splashed on him and the fury in his heart was put out.

“We’ll leave too!”

In the end, Li Zongwen didn’t intend to fight Qin Shujian to the bitter end either.

More importantly, he really wasn’t able to either.

...

At this moment, all the players who had surrounded Qin Shujian to attack him earlier were now scattered and running for their lives, like how birds flew off in all directions when they were frightened.

Qin Shujian was surprised by the situation and froze for a moment and even his murderous aura dwindled a little.

But in no time, he realized what they were doing.

The murder in the air suddenly intensified again as he became like a terrifying wild beast and started attacking the players who were trying to retreat.

“Nobody is going to leave this place today, all of you are going to stay right here!”

BOOOOM!!

The Tiger Head Blade was filled with a terrifying energy and a cold glint seemed to shine forth from the clean white blade. The biting wind cut through any air resistance and covered all the retreating players closest to himself.

The blade of the Tiger Head Blade landed.

It easily sent all the players that it covered on their way.

The impact of the wind even left a mark on the ground.

Attack!

...

After doing that, Qin Shujian didn’t stop there. He continued to chase after the other players too.

To him, all these players were basically Life Value points on legs.

It wasn’t easy to find so many players gathered in one place, so of course, he was going to slaughter them all.

On top of that, Qin Shujian was confident that these players were the strongest bunch in Messy Stone Forest.

Once, he killed off all these players, then even if he couldn’t push them back by 20 years.

It was definitely enough to push them back by two or three days.

Two or three days didn’t seem long, but it was significant.

You must remember that the first players only appeared about half a month ago.

“That Boss is coming our way, hurry up and run!”

“What the f*ck?! Run!!”

The retreating players turned their heads to see that Qin Shujian was chasing after them like the god of death and had already slaughtered all the players behind them. They all turned green in the face.

This Boss was really too cruel!

The players had already given up on trying to defeat this Boss, but this Boss wasn’t letting them go and even chased after them to kill them.

In an instant, all these players started running even more quickly than before.

Initially they were still able to retreat in their original formation, but now it was just a matter of who could run faster than who.

A few hundred players were involved in this fight.

Even though Qin Shujian had killed off a number of them, there were still about a hundred of them left running.

These people scattered themselves, and they were running in almost all directions.

Qin Shujian knew that it wasn’t realistic to seriously kill all of them right now.

And so, after he had killed off all the players closest to himself, he locked his aim at a large and burly figure and chased after him.

He could feel the intense wind coming closer and closer to him.

Li Zongwen couldn’t help but turn around to look, only to find that Qin Shujian was coming closer and closer to him. His heart instantly turned cold.

When they surrounded the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain to attack him.

He was the one shouting the most ferociously.

But when the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain targeted him, Li Zongwen couldn’t help but feel his stomach churn in fear.

He didn’t even have time to think about why this Boss had targeted him even though there were so many other people running for their lives.

There was only one thing in Li Zongwen’s heart right now.

That was – RUN!

He was now at Martial Entry-Level Five, and he was about to move forward from there.

If he got killed now, then he would fall back to being a Martial Entry-Level Four player.

If that happened, then this one death would make him drop by nearly two stages at once.

Li Zongwen couldn’t bear the consequences of such a loss.

And so, he just made a run for it.

But, even though he ran very quickly, Qin Shujian ran even faster than him.

In less than ten seconds, they were only a few meters apart from one another.

Even if Li Zongwen didn’t turn back to look, he could feel the terrible threat overwhelming his heart.

The next second, he suddenly felt his body grow cold, then the feeling of pain overwhelmed him before he finally lost all consciousness.
