Chapter 85: Chapter 85 The Second Spirit Beast 1
A spiritual master with a destroyed spirit portal would find it nearly impossible to repair without incurring an enormous cost, a cost that even the lifetime earnings of a Spirit Lord master couldn't cover, let alone a small family like the Snow family.
Seeing Snow Amar's ashen face, Sky Diana and Sky Nasrul couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction rather than sympathy.
This guy had shown no remorse after killing the three spirit beasts of the Met family brothers. Now, having his spirit portal destroyed was nothing short of poetic justice.
"Ugh!"
Happily running towards Blaze Regret, Red's body transformed back to the size of a Scorching Flame Cat before leaping directly onto Blaze Regret's shoulder.
Feeling appreciative of the convenience of the Bewitching Cat's spirit technique, Blaze Regret walked over to the Extreme Ice Eagle and, following Master Magi's instructions, extracted its spirit core.
In mid air, a wind elemental swirled a long vine, whistling downwards. With a gentle toss, the vine, bearing nine Azure Dust fruits, landed in Blaze Regret's hand.
"These Azure Dust Fruits don't all need to be handed over to the Angsana Pavilion, right?" Sky Nasrul stared intently at the vine, his eyes burning with desire.
A Nine Dust Vine can bear up to nine Azure Dust Fruits. Once the fruits ripen, the vine will wither and lose its vitality. Moreover, the Nine Dust Vine has very stringent growth requirements. After withering in one year, a new vine will grow in the same place the next year. Transplanting it elsewhere is futile, as it won't survive.
Thus, whenever Azure Dust Fruits appear in the outside world, they inevitably spark fierce competition due to their immense value to spirit masters.
"You've seen the situation. Just giving the Angsana Pavilion one fruit will guarantee our win in this year's Angsana Pavilion Festival." Blaze Regret glanced at the dazed Snow Amar lying on the ground and smiled faintly.
"But the Azure Dust Fruit is a key requirement for the Angsana Pavilion. Will they be unhappy if we don't give them more?" Sky Diana asked worriedly.
"We risked our lives for these. It's not up to the Angsana Pavilion to decide how we distribute them. Besides, they didn't specify that we must obtain Azure Dust Fruits. Giving them one is a favor; not giving is our right," Blaze Regret said firmly.
"Exactly, Brother Blaze is right."
Sky Nasrul, unable to contain his joy, accepted a Azure Dust Fruit from Blaze Regret. Seeing this, Sky Diana could only smile wryly and take one as well.
Without a second thought, Blaze Regret tossed the remaining fruits into the Void Realm Stone, meaning six Azure Dust Fruits belonged to him. This wasn't stinginess; although Azure Dust Fruits are rare, a Spirit novice can only refine one. More than that, and they can't absorb it. As for him, he could refine all six without any concerns.
The number needed by a Spirit warrior differs from that of a Spirit novice.
"By the way, about this map..."
As if he finally remembered something, Blaze Regret took out the map he had acquired from the Angsana Auction House from the Void Realm Stone. After studying it for a while, his brows furrowed slightly.
"Where exactly does this map point to? It doesn't seem like this place is in the Black Forest."
Sky Nasrul, holding the fragrant Azure Dust Fruit, leaned in and shameles began examining the map as well.
Sky Diana blinked her beautiful eyes and, after a moment, cautiously said, "Could it be that the map is upside down?"
Hearing this, Blaze Regret was taken aback. Then, he slapped his forehead in frustration and flipped the map over.
Sure enough, the rivers from before instantly turned into mountain peaks, and those peaks transformed back into rivers. The described scene was indeed the place where they currently stood!
"Damn, sis, you're amazing," Sky Nasrul said, staring at Sky Diana in astonishment.
"Actually, from where I was standing opposite you, I saw the correct map," Sky Diana said, a bit embarrassed.
"Let's go check it out together."
After pondering for a moment, Blaze Regret put the map back into the Void Realm Stone and then slowly walked towards the other side of the mountain.
"He actually wants us to go with him?" Sky Nasrul was somewhat shocked. This was left by the Ice Lotus Sage, yet Blaze Regret wasn't afraid they'd become greedy and turn against him?
Sky Diana, however, just smiled faintly and chased after Blaze Regret.
Not that they wouldn't harbor any greed, but even if they did, what could they do? With Blaze Regret's strength, killing them would be a piece of cake.
Watching their backs, Snow Amar struggled to move but didn't even have the strength to sit up. The shattering of his spirit portal was far worse than breaking a few ribs.
At that moment, a palm sized mottled spider suddenly crawled out from the grass, each of its legs brimming with venom that made one's scalp tingle.
"No... don't come any closer!"
The mottled spider crawled closer and closer, causing Snow Amar to scream in horror. His once handsome face twisted grotesquely in fear.
"Why is it so cold here?" Sky Nasrul, shivering slightly, hugged himself as they walked at the foot of the mountain, his teeth chattering a bit.
"It seems like we're mostly in the right place," Blaze Regret said, pursing his lips. He then instructed Red to jump down. In its Blue Flame Demon Cat form, Red used its tail blade to continuously chisel away at the mountain wall.
"Clang!"
The rock easily shattered, but where the rock broke, it suddenly revealed a bit of icy blue color. As the tail blade struck it, it left only a white mark, without even dislodging a single ice chip.
"Ice layer?" Both Sky Diana and Sky Nasrul's eyelids twitched.
At this point, they were a hundred percent certain that the Ice Lotus Sage had a significant connection to this place!
