Chapter 193 - 193: 191: Are We in Love? (Fourth Part)
Chapter 193 - 193: 191: Are We in Love? (Fourth Part)
Ji Baijian opened his eyes.
“Does it look nice?” He asked, his voice magnetic.
Fiercely, why is my heart beating so fast!
She didn’t do anything- she clearly didn’t do anything.
Why was she feeling so guilty?
Just peeked at a beauty, that’s all.
Feeling very embarrassed…
Fortunately.
A voice came from the direction of the door, “Though he looks good. Due to his health condition, he should wake up early for meals.”
At that moment, Song Zhizhi felt extremely awkward.
What on earth did she do?
She was made to feel as if she had been… extremely loose.
What exactly are we “making up for”!
Ji Baijian looked at Song Zhizhi, who was almost dying of embarrassment and pulled out an especially beautiful smile.
He said, “Help me get up.”
Song Zhizhi got up from the bed.
Although they were in the same bed, she truly did not dare to touch Ji Baijian at all.
Thinking about it made her feel even more aggrieved.
She really did not do anything!
She even maintained a distance, so clean that she couldn’t be more innocent.
Song Zhizhi carefully helped Ji Baijian up from the bed, afraid that she might touch his body or his wounds.
Ji Baijian looked normal, but paused briefly after sitting up.
He said, “Can you get my pajamas for me?”
“Won’t wearing clothes hurt your wound?” Song Zhizhi asked warily.
“I’m not used to streaking.” Ji Baijian answered.
Dude, you’re all wrapped up like a dumpling. How could anyone possibly think you’re running around naked?
This man’s thinking is too old-fashioned!
Song Zhizhi got clothes for Ji Baijian, put it on for him with difficulty, and then the two of them got off the bed and walked out of the bedroom together.
In the hall, Yan Zhen was boiling porridge in the open kitchen.
The mouthwatering aroma can be sniffed from a distance away.
Song Zhizhi was really hungry.
Presumably, so was Ji Baijian.
Only now they found out, it was already noon.
Song Zhizhi helped Ji Baijian to the dining table by French windows, and waited for the meal to be served.
Song Zhizhi also sat next to Ji Baijian and suddenly thought, “Is Xiaolang still sleeping?”
She asked Yan Zhen.
Yan Zhen nodded, “Yin Qin and your bodyguard are still asleep.”
“I’ll wake them up for something to eat.”
With that said, she got up and walked towards one of the bedrooms.
Ji Baijian’s private apartment was really not small.
Four bedrooms and a big flat, no less lavish than a suburban villa.
Moreover, this place was a gold mine.
When Song Zhizhi opened the second bedroom door, she saw Luo Xiaolang lying on the bed without a blanket.
Even if it’S early summer, she shouldn’t be sleeping without a blanket, should she?
Song Zhizhi approached.
Just as she was about to wake up Luo Xiaolang, the quilt on the side moved suddenly.
Song Zhizhi paused, and then saw Yin Qin inside the quilt.
He was sleeping with a satisfied expression on his face, and at that moment, he turned comfortably, his thigh casually pressing on Luo Xiaolang’s thigh. Seeing that, Song Zhizhi couldn’t bear to watch!
“Xiaolang!” Song Zhizhi called her.
Luo Xiaolang opened her eyes.
In fact, she woke up as soon as Song Zhizhi opened the door, but she was still sleepy and didn’t want to move, so she closed her eyes and fell back asleep.
“Time to get up and eat.”
“Um.” Luo Xiaolang sat up from bed, without any fuss, she pushed Yin Qin’S leg aside.
“Yin Qin!” Song Zhizhi called the man on the side.
Yin Qin opened his eyes groggily, “I just fell asleep…”
“If you want to sleep, find another place!” Song Zhizhi was somewhat angry.
No matter what, Xiaolang is a girl after all.
“Where else can I sleep?” Yin Qin sat up from the bed, rubbed his eyes and looked at Song Zhizhi, somewhat disgruntled, he said, “Hey, I’m a man. Can you knock before you come in? What if I’m not dressed? I don’t mind, but Ji Baijian will probably kill me…”
While moaning, he casually glanced at the side, only to see Luo Xiaolang sitting on the bed, seemingly just woken up.
He suddenly exploded.
He was even more excited than Song Zhizhi seeing this scene.
He suddenly jumped up from the bed, “Little wolf dog, why are you in my bed!” Song Zhizhi was speechless.
She could completely imagine that these two sleeping together was just an accident.
As for how it happened… she thought it’s better not to probe.
Luo Xiaolang was confused with Yin Qin’s reaction, she got up from the bed, not interested in giving any explanation.
Because she didn’t think it was a big deal.
“What did you do to me? Luo XiaoLang, you stay right there!” Yin Qin acted as if he was violated, utterly aggrieved.
At that moment when Luo Xiaolang was heading to freshen up, she turned her head and looked at Yin Qin, “I didn’t beat you up.” She looked serious.
Is this woman really stupid?
Lying in the same bed, talking about beating or not beating!
At that moment, Song Zhizhi found it a little funny.
Yin Qin and Luo Xiaolang were totally not on the same wavelength.
Luo Xiaolang was so naive that she had no idea what Yin Qin was talking about.
She thought, since Luo Xiaolang was raised in Wulin Temple and around a bunch of brothers, it was probably normal for them to sleep together like this.
Seeing Yin Qin about to explode, Song Zhizhi found it amusing and didn’t say anything more. She said to Luo Xiaolang, “come and eat after you finish washing up.”
“Okay.”
Song Zhizhi left the bedroom.
She felt that she should probably give Xiaolang a talk about gender differences in the future.
She headed straight for the dining table.
At this moment, there were several bowls of porridge ready on the table and it looked tempting.
Ji Baijian was sitting there, as if waiting for them.
Meanwhile.
A woman suddenly stepped into the living room.
It was Ji Baixin.
Upon seeing her, Song Zhizhi was taken aback for a moment.
A little later, she had an ominous feeling.
Sure enough.
Ji Baijian had just walked into the living room when Yin Qin and Luo Xiaolang came out of a room, with Yin Qin still muttering grumpily, “Why would you climb into my bed? What’s your intention?” Luo Xiaolang had no clue what Yin Qin was mumbling about.
She merely gathered that the area beside her ear, from the time she got up until now, had been constantly filled with Yin Qin’s relentless chattering.
If Song Zhizhi hadn’t asked her to show patience in everything, she would’ve thrown him over her shoulder already.
Luo Xiaolang took large strides forward.
Suddenly, her footsteps faltered.
Yin Qin’s voice, full of incessant nagging, abruptly silenced as well.
Ji Baixing also seemed to have noticed them.
And an unexplainable feeling of nervousness pervaded the air.
In that moment, Yin Qin looked at Ji Baixin and clearly disgorged some peculiar emotions. However, Ji Baixin’s detached visage gave him no reassurance whatsoever. Shockingly, as Ji Baijian advanced forward devoid of all expressions, Yin Qin abruptly pulled Luo Xiaolang into his arms.
Luo Xiaolang was perplexed.
Yin Qin was different from most people she knew.
She concluded that he was an oddball.
“I do like this straightforward nature of yours,” Yin Qin’s voice suddenly changed.
Luo Xiaolang furrowed her brows slightly.
Despite everything, Ji Baixing did not so much as spare Yin Qin a glance as she walked towards Ji Baijian.
With a cold look on his face, Yin Qin, holding Luo Xiaolang’s hand, strolled over to the dining table and plonked himself down arrogantly. He forcefully seated Luo Xiaolang beside him without letting her hand go.
At this moment, Luo Xiaolang was genuinely hungry.
She looked straight at Yin Qin, completely disgruntled.
Ji Baixing, however, didn’t give Yin Qin any attention. Holding a tablet in her hands, she said to Ji Baijian, “The wedding suit and dress are all in the ‘new marriage’ folder on this tablet. Take a look and if there are no problems, I’ll get them made.”
With that, she handed the tablet to Ji Baijian.
Ji Baijian didn’t take the tablet. Instead, he asked Baixin, “Have you had lunch yet?”
“Yes, I have.” Ji Baixing placed the tablet in front of Ji Baijian, “I have a lot of work to get done. Once you’ve selected, please let me know.”
With that, she turned around and left.
“Baixin.” Ji Baijian called out to her.
She replied, “Don’t force me to do things I don’t want to.”
Ji Baijian pressed his lips together.
At that moment, Song Zhizhi felt that Ji Baijian was also at his wit’s end as to how to handle his sister.
Ji Baixin stormed out after leaving that statement.
Yin Qin looked ominous.
He knew for sure what Ji Baixin meant by ‘not to force her’?
His fingers clenched tightly.
Luo Xiaolang wrinkled her brows.
“Let go of me, I’m hungry,” she said.
Yin Qin turned and looked at Luo Xiaolang before abruptly letting her hand go.
Luo Xiaolang didn’t make a fuss about her hand hurting due to Yin Qin’s strong grip as such discomforts didn’t matter to her.
“This is yours,” Yan Zhen placed a bowl of vegetable porridge in front of Luo Xiaolang, “Pure vegetarian.”
“Thank you.” Luo Xiaolang picked up the spoon and began eating voraciously.
The other people also picked up their spoons, preparing to eat.
Ji Baijian’s hands were both bandaged.
Song Zhizhi stopped him, “Don’t move, I will feed you.”
Ji Baijian looked at her.
“I’ll blow on it first, it’s a bit hot,” Song Zhizhi picked up the small bowl, scooped some porridge, lightly blew on it to cool it down before bringing it to Ji Baijian’s lips.
Ji Baijian opened his mouth. Song Zhizhi asked, “Is it hot?”
“It’S fine.”
Song Zhizhi smiled, her face was radiant.
“Can you two be a little less showy!” Yin Qin complained.
Song Zhizhi’s face turned a little red, but she responded seriously, “No, we can’t. Love should be lavishly showcased.”
“Ugh,” Yin Qin made a gagging face.
“Someone’s clearly jealous,” Yan Zhen chimed in sarcastically.
“Jealous my ass,” Yin Qin retorted brazenly, “Do you want to fall in love? Huh? The kind that takes your life!”
Yan Zhen stifled his laughter.
Ji Baijian shot a glare at him.
Yin Qin lowered his head to eat his porridge, “Pretend I didn’t say anything.”
At that moment, Song Zhizhi felt a little apprehensive.
Though Yin Qin was heartless, she had admittedly been a burden to Ji Baijian repeatedly.
Ji Baijian said, “Continue.” “Huh?” Song Zhizhi was taken aback.
“I’m hungry.”
“Oh.” She hurriedly scooped up more porridge.
One spoonful after another, she fed Ji Baijian attentively.
While feeding him, she also began to eat.
The two of them ended up sharing a bowl and a spoon.
Yin Qin tutted several times, overwhelmed by Ji Baijiants continuous display of affection.
Unable to bear it, he left Ji Baijiant s apartment immediately after finishing his meal.
Humming a tune, he took the elevator downstairs.
He realized that he was indeed quite entertaining.
At times, even while his heart was breaking, he was still able to laugh so heartily and carelessly.
Like at this moment.
As soon as he walked out of the garage, he spotted Ji Baixing and Li Wenjun from afar.
It seemed like Ji Baixing’s car had broken down and Li Wenjun had driven over to help her check it. However, they couldn’t seem to find anything wrong, and so, Li Wenjun was leading Ji Baixin to his car.
Yin Qin walked straight over, positioning himself right in front of Li Wenjun’s car.
Li Wenjun furrowed his eyebrows.
Ji Baixin•s face instantly went pale.
Li Wenjun got out of the car and approached Yin Qin, “Do you need something, Master Yin?”
“Your face seems to have healed rather well,” Yin Qin observed him.
It was more exaggerated than his own facial injury.
Li Wenjun chuckled slightly, saying, “Everyone was drunk that night.”
“But I’m not drunk now.”
Suddenly, Yin Qin swung a fist, landing another heavy punch on Li Wenjun’s face.
Ji Baixin was horrified. She hastily got out of the passenger seat and rushed to support Li Wenjun. She roared at Yin Qin, “Yin Qin, can’t you be a little less childish!”
“Yes, I am childish, but at least I know what moral boundaries are! Ji Baixin, the engagement hasn’t even been cancelled yet, what’s the rush? Are you eager to be labelled as a shameless and flirtatious woman?” Yin Qin said venomously, “Li Wenjun, I don’t really think you’re a man!” After saying these words, Yin Qin hastily departed. While returning to his car, he muttered to himself, ‘Is Li Wenjun made of iron?’
His own hand felt like it was about to throb with pain.
Starting the car, Yin Qin drove away frantically.
Through the rear-view mirror, he saw Ji Baixin looking worriedly at Li Wenjun’s once again injured c eek.
The color drained from Yin Qin’S face.
He knew that high society was an extremely complex place and that the smallest whisperings could be blown out of proportion by the media. Despite knowing that Ji Baixin and Li Wenjun’s relationship had no legitimate standing at the moment, they still flaunted their love… It seems Ji Baixin truly loved Li Wenjun, to the point of recklessness!
