Chapter 5235 Powerful Fighter
Chapter 5235 Powerful Fighter
Suddenly, Gold Rhino let out a painful groan as blood oozed out of its mouth, eyes, nose, and ears. It began rolling on the ground, convulsing in agony.
“Boss isn’t thinking of getting some rhino meat, right?” asked Bai Xiaole.
Before he could say more, a little fox paw smacked his head. Little Nine scolded, “If you don’t know how to talk, keep your mouth shut. If you get yourself killed, fine, but don’t drag me down with you.”
Gold Rhino continued to convulse in pain before opening its mouth and unleashing a ray of light that tore an enormous hole into the mountain range. The sheer power of the attack made Guo Ran and the others shiver. If that strike had hit the war chariot while its defenses were down, they would have been annihilated.
Gold Rhino raised its head again, blasting a hole in the void and releasing the berserk energy boiling within it. Long Chen stood firm amidst the violet typhoon, unmoving like a boulder, allowing Gold Rhino to vent its chaotic power.
After an incense stick of time, Gold Rhino finally started to calm down, but the landscape around them was completely destroyed.
“Many thanks. I will never forget your kindness. Even if you want me to be your eternal slave, I am willing,” Gold Rhino said, kneeling before Long Chen.
Long Chen had unsealed the energy inside of Gold Rhino, instantly opening its Emperor veins. However, the release of that immense power within its body was extremely painful, and it had gone on a rampage to unleash it.
Despite the agony, Gold Rhino had never doubted Long Chen, nor had it attacked him or the others. This one point was enough to satisfy Long Chen. But in truth, he had his own arrangements. After all, those pills were refined by him. If Gold Rhino had done anything to endanger them, Long Chen could have instantly killed it.
Gold Rhino had passed the test, earning Long Chen’s trust. More importantly, Long Chen now had a rough estimate of a two-vein Emperor’s power. A one-vein Human Emperor was no longer a threat to him—at least, an ordinary one, not the one raised in a favorable environment. Long Chen also felt that in a fair fight with Gold Rhino, his chances of victory were only fifty-fifty at best.
Being a solitary demonic beast, Gold Rhino had to be exceptionally strong to survive. Otherwise, it would have been eaten by other beasts long ago.
Recalling the nine-vein tortoise they had encountered before, Long Chen realized that his power was still not enough for the dangers of the Endless Desolation. He needed to grow stronger.
Long Chen was pleased that his Eight Star Battle Armor could resist the pressure of a two-vein Emperor. Even when Gold Rhino had unleashed its full might, Long Chen was able to stand his ground. This meant that, even if he encountered stronger Emperors, he wouldn’t be completely suppressed.
“Everyone, come out and get used to Gold Rhino’s pressure. Don’t get caught off-guard once we’re in the Dragon Domain,” said Long Chen.
The group exited the chariot and immediately felt like the heavens were collapsing. If they hadn’t prepared, they would have been forced to their knees by the sheer pressure. Fortunately, their dragon souls activated automatically, and their Heavenly Fate Disks appeared to support them.
“This is insane! Gold Rhino’s aura is much more reserved now, but it’s still this overwhelming!” exclaimed Guo Ran.
It was true—Gold Rhino’s aura had significantly diminished compared to when it was rampaging, but its pressure was still immense.
Gold Rhino had been injured by the immense power raging in its body just now. Even with medicinal pills protecting its meridians, recovery took time. During this period, Long Chen and the others used the Emperor pressure to stimulate their Heavenly Fate Disks, allowing their manifestations to grow stronger.
While the others trained, Long Chen returned to the chariot and continued consuming pills. Two days passed quickly. By then, Gold Rhino was fully recovered, exuding a golden mist from its body, displaying the might of a true two-vein Emperor.
After two days of adjustment, everyone had adapted to its pressure. They even asked Gold Rhino to release its full aura again and stimulate their Heavenly Fate Disks further.
By the end, even when Gold Rhino unleashed its full power, it only caused them some discomfort—difficulty breathing and a leaden feeling in their limbs—but they could still move and fight if necessary. Satisfied, they returned to the chariot.
With Gold Rhino fully recovered and reinvigorated, they set off once more. Its speed had greatly increased, and in just over half a day, they saw a pile of white bone mountains ahead and could sense the dragon race’s aura.
As they approached, Gold Rhino slowed down. The enormous white bone mountains were the collapsed remains of Ten Thousand Dragon Nests, and the bones were dragon bones.
“Heavens, isn’t this terrifying?” Bai Shishi said, staring in shock.
The sheer size of the nests was overwhelming, but they were in ruins, shattered by brute force. One nest in particular looked as if it had been punched apart, while others seemed to have been sliced open. Yue Zifeng’s pupils shrank as he examined the marks.
“It looks like a massive battle took place here,” Long Chen muttered, surprised by the sight on the border of the Dragon Domain. Broken remnants of Ten Thousand Dragon Nests were scattered everywhere.
“Stop right there! This is the dragon race’s territory! Outsiders are not permitted inside!” A furious shout suddenly rang out, and countless terrifying auras rose up.
