Chapter 136 The First Shooting

Chapter 136 The First Shooting

She thought that she would be ecstatic when she finally saw the flush of hope and would rush to hold Su Yicheng tight and melt to tears.

But she just felt sober.

She was sober enough to know that such a beginning was not what she wanted. She wanted it to never end when it started.

She declined Su Yicheng, which seemed to be incredible when she thought about it. After all, she was declined by Su Yicheng for more than a decade.

But she did not regret, because she knew she made a wise choice.

The small electronic clock on the TV cabinet showed 22:27.

So Luo Xiaoxi took a deep breath and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

She had a really good sleep tonight.

Since Su Yicheng indicated in front of her that they might be able to be together, and she would take pictures for her favorite magazine tomorrow, she felt like her life had entered a new era with hope.

She then discovered after a long time that it was true that her future life was completely reversed into another style in the next two days.

At seven o’clock in the morning the next day, Luo Xiaoxi got up on time and jogged for 45 minutes on the treadmill. The phone rang with Candy’s name on it when she just ate little thing for breakfast.

She grabbed the bag and went out. “Sister Candy, I am going downstairs, you wait for me.”

Rushing all the way down the stairs, Luo Xiaoxi found that Candy was waiting for her in front of the apartment with a company purpose vehicle parked at the door, of which the door was opened.

She got in the car and gave a long sigh of relief. Candy, who dressed in professional attire, looked up at her and said, “Nervous?”

“Umm,” Luo Xiaoxi stroked her long hair, “a little bit.”

“It’s normal,” Candy was busy browsing the news of the entertainment industry, “but believe me, after this shooting, you will not be nervous next time, but very excited.”

Luo Xiaoxi couldn’t help getting excited when she thought about it next time, and the time after that.

After arriving at the studio, she saw all the photographers and professional full-time photography equipment, as well as the busy staff at the scene, she surprisingly didn’t feel nervous at all.

She had always been like this since she was a child that she usually seemed to be inattentive, but she could be calmer than anyone at a critical moment.

The next step was to put on the makeup and the styling. Luo Xiaoxi finally stood in front of the camera with poses and let the lens focus on her.

The photographer, who was holding the camera, occasionally asked Luo Xiaoxi to pose, who could always do it well, and act natural during improvisation. The photographer was satisfied and constantly pressed the shutter, her postures were fixed to the camera.

During the ten-minute break of changing and refining the make-up, the photographer smiled and asked Luo Xiaoxi, “Is it really your first time?”

“Yes.”

She shrugged and followed the stylist to change clothes.

The photographer looked at the tall, energetic back of the young girls, and said to Candy while adjusting his camera, “She’s a dark horse, and she has great potential.”

“Otherwise our director won’t ask me to take her here personally,” Candy said, “you help me to shoot her well and focus on the post production. I want her to go viral in three months.”

Luo Xiaoxi soon refined her makeup and changed her outfits. She wore the stilettos of ten centimeters and walked towards them smoothly. “Brother photographer, can you show me the photos I just took?”

Her facial features were exquisite, and her eyebrows curved when she smiled, which was unintentionally seductive. The photographer couldn’t refuse her even though his willpower was strong, so he could only nod, “Of course!”

“Thank you!”

Luo Xiaoxi and Candy went together to look at them when the photos were uploaded to the computer, which turned out to be shot in a very good way. Luo Xiaoxi also fully presented the feeling that the magazine wanted. The photographer said. “They basically don’t need any photoshop during the post production.”

However, there were a few that Luo Xiaoxi dissatisfied. She then discussed with Candy about how to modify, and the photographer finally adopted her opinion.

“I can’t see it,” Candy teased her, “you’re quite professional.”

“My mother used to read magazines together with me when I couldn’t read,” Luo Xiaoxi said, “I’m far from being professional, but I still know a bit about it.”

“Okay, go shoot.” Candy patted her on the shoulder. “Xiaoxi, you will be a star at the fastest speed.”

Candy was one of the five golden medal agents of Lu Enterprise Media. In addition to her broad network of contacts and extraordinary abilities, she was also able to predict— if she said that some artists would be successful, they would eventually be.

This time, she predicted that Luo Xiaoxi would be successful, and she was pretty confident about that— although Luo Xiaoxi had her debut a bit late, her conditions were much better than so many people on so many things.

Luo Xiaoxi was exhausted after removing the make-up and finished her work since the shooting ended until the afternoon. So Candy sent her back to the apartment.

She took a break and received a call from Qin Wei when it was dark.

“Is it finished?” Qin Wei asked.

“It’s over. I am at home,” Luo Xiaoxi, who was lying in bed, turned over, “why, do you want to help me celebrate?”

“You’re so smart,” Qin Wei smiled, “In the bar, we met for the first time, I booked the whole place and called your friends to come over. When do you come?”

Luo Xiaoxi just made a joke, and she didn’t expect Qin Wei to arrange it so well that she could not decline.

“Qin Wei, I...” She just promised Su Yicheng to have less contact with Qin Wei for the time being.

“What’s wrong?” Qin Wei asked with concern, “Is it inconvenient to come over?”

It was indeed inconvenient. However, Luo Xiaoxi did not know how to reject the good intentions of Qin Wei, not to mention that they were going to celebrate for her and those friends were already there.

She got up and picked the clothes. “Nothing, I’ll be there after I changed my clothes.”

“Okay, do you need me to pick you up?”

“No,” Luo Xiaoxi took out a long skirt and simply tried it, “I’ll drive there by myself.”

She put on the skirt, took the car key and went out. She was hesitated about whether to call Su Yicheng, but gave up in the end.

Their relationship was strange now, and calling him looked like she was reporting her track to him, so she thought it was not necessary.

Luo Xiaoxi saw a very artistic spurt draw on the side of the door from afar when she arrived at the bar, written with “To Celebrate Luo Xiaoxi’s Official Debut”. The fluorescent blackboard on the doorway said that the bar was sorry for not being able to entertain other guests since the place was all booked.

Qin Wei was indeed the nightclub prince, the only one who could make such a big noise.

Luo Xiaoxi entered the bar, and the young men and women whom she was familiar with or not immediately cheered up. The ribbon was sprayed on the top of her and covered her head.

“Xiaoxi, congratulations on your debut!”

“Xiaoxi, I want to see the photos of you taking for Vogue!”

...

Luo Xiaoxi knows the rules of the game so well and she knew what to do when the true or false praise and flattering coming around. She just highly cheered to stir up the crowd and high-fived with them to celebrate, thanking them for coming to celebrate for her.

After Luo Xiaoxi greeted everyone, Qin Wei came over. “How was the shooting today?”

“Good,” the music was too loud and Luo Xiaoxi had no choice but to raise the tone, “nothing went wrong, nor was being scolded by the agents and photographers.”

“Congratulations!” Qin Wei clinked her cup. “Hey, don’t forget us if you become a big star.”

“Reassured,” Luo Xiaoxi sipped a cocktail, “I won’t forget you just for this celebration.”

She smiled and completely forgot the bag that was placed in the belongings. She did not realize that the phone in the bag had already rang over and over again. The caller was Su Yicheng.

Su Yicheng, who was far away from the company, could hardly suppress his anger in his chest.

He got used to it that people got to him as soon as he called, but Luo Xiaoxi dared not pick him up for more than a dozen calls.

He called Lu Enterprises to ask for her agent’s phone number, but the agent said that she had finished shooting long time ago and went home.

Why didn’t she pick up the phone since she was at home?

Almost without hesitation, Su Yicheng stood up and the office chair was knocked away by him. He grabbed the car key and drove straight to Luo Xiaoxi’s apartment.

Since no one came to open the door after he pressed the doorbell for a long time, he went down to ask the security guard in the lobby and finally learned that she went out when it got dark.

Going out, and didn’t answer his phone call?

Su Yicheng had already anticipated something, so he made a big move to locate Luo Xiaoxi and found out that she was indeed in the bar, where Qin Wei held a celebration party for her.

Did she just forget what he told her yesterday? He clearly told her not to have an intersection with Qin Wei and those people, and she actually let Qin Wei throw her a celebration party?

Su Yicheng felt so furious for the first time. As soon as he stepped on the gas pedal, the car rushed out like a flexible dragon and finally stopped at the door of the bar.

Damn, Qin Wei deliberately picked the bar where they met for the first time to celebrate for her?

Su Yicheng opened the door to get off but was stopped by the security guard when he was about to enter.

He hadn’t been stopped outside the door for real long time.

“Sir, please show your invitation.” Even though the man in front of him was imposing, the security guard was still official.

“I don’t have it.” Su Yicheng said coldly.

“Then I’m sorry, you can’t get in,” the security guard said, “Ms. Luo has already stressed that people can only get in with an invitation, those who don’t have are not invited, please leave.”

At this moment, Su Yicheng’s cell phone rang, showing a serial of a telephone number.

“Hello, Mr. Su,” coming with a pleasant voice of a woman, “this is the Monjelli Western Restaurant. Your secretary Ada called our restaurant to book you a table this noon. When will you arrive?”

“Sorry,” Su Yicheng turned and left the bar, “I don’t need it, please help me cancel it.”

The receptionist was already impassive when the reservation was canceled again, thus she said with a very good-temper, “Okay. Welcome to our restaurant next time.”

Su Yicheng hung up the phone and looked at the bar behind his back, which was filled with loud music, and left with his car sulkily.

In the bar, Luo Xiaoxi did not realize that Su Yicheng had come, so she had been busy dancing with a group of people on the dance floor.

Actually, she was not familiar with the so-called “friends” here, and she couldn’t even recall some of the rich kids, so she was very careful and didn’t drink too much. Qin Wei found that and ridiculed her. “Xiaoxi, why being so careful, it’s not you.”

Luo Xiaoxi raised her eyebrows and smiled. “What is me?”

“Like your expression—” Qin Wei pointed to her face, “unruly, straightforward, and dare to love and hate.”

Luo Xiaoxi bowed her head and smiled. “Qin Wei, I don’t know if you know me too well or know nothing about me at all?”

“Then talk about it!” Qin Wei gave an expectant expression.

“Nevermind, why talk so much about that?” Luo Xiaoxi picked up a glass of wine, “Drink!”

Of course, Qin Wei would accompany her like he was risking his life, and Luo Xiaoxi basically had no defense against the acquaintances she trusted. So unconsciously, she drank a lot of spirit with him.

She knew how much she could drink and made sure that she would be able to go home consciously, but unexpectedly, many people came up to drink with her. She couldn’t refuse and went completely drunk although Qin Wei had drunk a lot for her.

Finally, someone asked a tactful question. “Xiaoxi, what is your relationship with Qin Wei? We only allow couples or very close friends to drink for you.”

“Go away!” Luo Xiaoxi stamped on that guy and gulped a whole glass of wine, “Me and Qin Wei, we are just normal friends,” she then pushed Qin Wei, “don’t drink for me, they just want to get me drunk, come on, I’m not afraid of anyone!”

“Good! Xiaoxi, you are a true hero!”

Some people cheered, so more people came up to drink with Luo Xiaoxi.
