Chapter 793 Infiltration

Nevertheless, he wanted to avoid confronting the knights as much as possible. It would be a waste to kill even one of their kind.

It was not every day that Kyran chance upon a group of people whose level was higher than a Magus. Not to mention, they were more powerful than a combat mage, and in terms of a mage\'s specialty, they could be a mixture of an Abjurer, Elementer, and Enchanter.

It should be noted that in the Human plane, Maguses were rare, even more so Arch Maguses. Apart from this, most of the Magus only had one specialty.

Listing all the mages with a level around a Magus or above Kyran knew in the Human plane, they are:

Malek, Gael, Tritus, his grandfather, Aron, and Osric are all Elementers. Anette, Celine, and Iulia are Enchanters. Gael and Hugh are Transmuters. His mother, who he belatedly found was also a Magus, is a retired Summoner, and his father is an Abjurer. Finally, there is Nolan, the only one he knows who is both an Abjurer and a Transmuter.

There were more, like the three Arch Maguses and the Three Noble Families\' Maguses, but Kyran never met them. After waking up, he never had a chance to meet or learn their specialties.

But looking at these data, Elementers are common. Gael is initially thought of as an Elementer because he hid the fact that his magic had evolved and that he is already a Transmuter.

The point was there were few instances where a mage had two specialties. Even his father only had one. The only exception was Nolan.

There were no specialties in Somuli. However, Kyran gleaned their specialties based on how they used their magic.

Eidums could be considered Enchanters, while the Nobles were all Elementers. But the Knights of Armakea were different. Since they were both proficient in hand-to-hand and magic, depending on how they used the latter would define their specialty. This was why Kyran judged the knights to be a mixture of an Abjurer, Elementer, and Enchanter.

Knights of Armakea had strong defenses, which placed them as natural Abjurers. Some focused on using their magic to enhance their body or even their weapon, similar to how Enchanters worked. Finally, from what Kyran gathered, most Knights used elemental magic when performing range attacks, thus making them effective Elementers.

For a group of people to possess so many specialties, who would not be tempted to conquer them?

Nevertheless, because of the thin magic energy in Somuli, which limits Kyran\'s use of magic, it would be impossible to subdue all hundred knights in one go.

Using the Sigil to force a knight to submission, Kyran could more or less perform the ritual twenty times before he exhausted himself.

As for using the Void to absorb them, it was the most ideal. Kyran wanted the knights to be completely submissive to him as much as possible. Because if he made them his Sigils, there was a chance their loyalty to the Armakea\'s Royal Family would force them to commit suicide rather than become Kyran\'s Sigil.

Unfortunately, his use of Void magic was limited compared to Draconic magic. Moreover, he had never used the Void\'s absorption skill against multiple targets. If his target were low-level mages, maybe there was a chance. But the knights all had high levels. If he tried to absorb them, he might end up in a worse shape than when he absorbed Bas and Iss— or even Gael.

Considering all these, Kyran decided to meet the Prince of Armakea first.

To avoid confronting the knights patrolling the periphery, he had Gael\'s shadow minion lure a few of them.

After the shadow minion appeared, at least half of the Knights patrolling the periphery chased after him. As for the remaining half, they adjusted their patrol range to cover the location assigned to those who chased after the shadow minion.

Kyran was impressed at how fast the Knights adapted to the situation. With the appearance of an unexpected figure, they did not panic and calmly assessed the situation. Only those knights who chased the shadow minion made any movements. The remaining half stayed calm and simply adjusted their formation.

For several knights to chase after a lone figure might appear to be an exaggerated move. But Kyran did not think so because their number was enough so they could adjust to any situation, especially if they were lured into a trap.

Kyran sighed in his heart as he watched those knights chase after the shadow minion.

\'If True Void is awake, he can help me create a huge vortex to absorb everyone in camp,\' he thought, a little depressed.

He initially expected True Void to wake up any moment. Unfortunately, it got delayed because the amount of magic energy the latter could absorb in Somuli was limited.

\'Just how much magic energy do you need to wake up, huh?\' Kyran complained in his heart.

Pushing all unnecessary thoughts to the back of his mind, Kyran entered the camp.

Since the patrol range of the knights doubled to cover for the other knights that went after the shadow minion, Kyran easily slipped past their formation.

Once he left the periphery, he observed the knights guarding the camp, found the weakest spot in their formation, and slipped inside.

The weakest spot was where the knights set up their tents. Obviously, they believed it did not require their attention because the knights staying in those tents could deal with any unexpected situation.

Kyran walked right into one of the tents, and the knight inside, sitting on his bed browsing what looked like a rectangular-shaped memory orb, looked up in surprise.

The knight\'s response time was immaculate. The moment he saw Kyran and realized he was an intruder, he summoned a 260 cm silver javelin and threw it at him without hesitation.

Bam!

Unfortunately, Kyran\'s reaction speed was faster. Before the javelin could even leave the knight\'s hand, Kyran reached out and pulled it, taking the latter along. Then, with swift movements, he grabbed the knight\'s shoulder before he could let go of the javelin and attempt a counter.

Crack!

Breaking the javelin into two, Kyran used the part he was still holding to smack it on the knight\'s head.

The knight attempted to tilt his head and avoid the javelin, but Kyran\'s other hand was like steel. It did not even budge when he tried to yank it away.

Bam! Crack!

"Ugh!" The knight groaned in pain and surprise as the broken javelin hit his head. The javelin was thin, and although it was made of silver, its weight would not be enough to hurt him, much less injure him.

But it did.

He felt like he was hit by a steel hammer weighing around half a ton, which nearly made him pass out cold!

Ultimately, the javelin broke into pieces, and he did not lose consciousness because he possessed a robust body. Frankly, among the knights under the Prince\'s leadership, he was known as the toughest knight.

Nevertheless, he might not have passed out from the hit, but it was enough to stun him. He failed to move for a few seconds, and that caused him a lot.

Bam!

Seeing that the knight was still conscious, Kyran unhesitatingly followed up with a hand-knife strike, aiming at the knight\'s neck.

Kyran confirmed that a complete being\'s body system was around 80% similar to a human\'s; thus, striking at the vagus nerve could trigger a sudden drop in one\'s blood flow to the brain, causing them to faint.

The knight stared at Kyran in disbelief and even looked like he would not allow himself to lose consciousness. But in the next second, his eyes rolled, and his body went limp.

Kyran sighed inwardly. Still, he smiled slightly while looking at the knight, who slid down on the floor.

Kyran did not enhance his physical strength when he struck the knight with the javelin. But, even without any enhancement, he could kill someone with that strike. Since the knight did not die and managed to retain his consciousness, it was a testament to his defenses.

Besides this, Kyran did not sense the knight using any body enhancement. If he did, he could have lasted longer. Not that Kyran was complaining. The faster the knight was knocked out cold, the faster he could finish what he came for.

Kyran looked at the knight\'s build and frowned slightly. The knight was bigger than him, and he might appear awkward if he borrowed his uniform.

\'Forget it,\' he thought, laying the knight on the floor. He then walked over to the latter\'s things and took another set of uniforms.

He did not want to waste time looking for another knight with the same build. Thus, he had to make do with what he got.

After changing into an Armakea Knight\'s uniform, Kyran copied the knight\'s face to the face-altering mask. Soon, he bore the same look as the unconscious knight, albeit their frame was slightly different.

Kyran looked at the knight. Leaving him there might cause problems. Thus, Kyran waved his hand and brought him to the Void World.

When that was done, he scanned the rectangular-shaped memory orb the knight was looking at, and his expression turned grim.

The rectangular-shaped memory orb showed the detailed plan of the Armakea\'s sneak attack on the Eidum\'s border. The knight was also assigned to the team that would apprehend Cyneah.
