Chapter 511 Blitz: Reversal (3)
Because of this state, any item connected to the target through magic energy would be temporarily cut off. This included magic weapons, armor, summons, and space storage.
Thus, Kyran had no problem taking Vera\'s space storage. When he used the Magic Energy Isolation Rune on her, he did not remove it. One of the main reasons was Ruin\'s veil. Kyran had no way of removing the veil, and the only way he could temporarily remove Ruin\'s aura inside her was by cutting off all magic energies around her.
Only Kyran\'s magic energy could enter Vera\'s body. After all, he created the rune and knew how to bypass it.
With the rune still active in Vera\'s body, Kyran easily accessed her space storage and checked its content.
The space storage size was about 20 inches on all sides, approximately 34.6 inches diagonally. It was a common space storage where one could easily store small weapons and other miscellaneous items.
Vera\'s space storage had seven daggers, several teleportation tokens, some scrolls, orbs, and healing and magic energy replenishing potions.
Kyran swept his magic sense on the scrolls and orbs and saw that the former were handwritten reports while the latter was called recording orbs with battle data and logs from operations she took part in.
[Found anything useful?]
Kyran was just about to shake his head when he swept through some data in the orb regarding the infiltration of the army in the estate. It detailed how several army members succeeded in infiltrating the estate but failed to establish a connection with them. Vera added a note of her personal thoughts regarding the matter.
In her note, Kyran sensed her deep-seated hatred for him and the Regis Clan. She even recorded how she wanted to payback Kyran for killing her subordinates when they were pursuing him in the forest.
Kyran\'s brow furrowed at once. As far as he remembered, he did not kill anyone then. Although the injuries he inflicted were fatal, they should be able to survive as long as the army found them and administered first aid.
With a sigh, Kyran placed the storage ring in his pouch.
Once Vera woke up and realized the person she hated had turned her into a Sigil, her hatred alone would likely trigger the Sigil\'s seal and kill her. Kyran wondered if he should perform the arts he did to Tritus and change her view a little because he still had some use for her.
Kyran felt that Ruin put a protection veil and kept a close eye on Vera for a reason.
For now, Kyran could only put the matter aside and devise a strategy for dealing with the army that Kairo, Ganza, and Vera were part of.
[Oi, Void Halfling. Don\'t wander off on your own. Tell me what you found.]
True Void\'s voice brought Kyran out of his musing.
\'Nothing helpful. I\'m just amazed at how many teleportation tokens she had. Aren\'t those things expensive?\'
[She is from the army, so maybe she got it for free?]
Kyran could not help but inwardly give True Void an incredulous look. He might not be knowledgeable about matters within the army, but at least he knew they would not provide all items for free. If they did, wouldn\'t the army end up getting bankrupt? Besides, teleportation tokens were expensive because stocks were limited.
Opting not to comment on True Void\'s words lest they get sidetracked, Kyran turned and went after the army.

In Noser, Gael ordered several High Adept to Master mages to set up the restraining magic array. At the same time, all High Masters led the lower-ranked mages to enter the city and exhaust the four powerful beasts protecting Kyran.
They planned to exhaust the beasts before luring them to the magic array and then killing them.
Zephyr sat on the edge of a three-story building with a slight frown. With his extraordinary senses, he already knew what the army was doing near the city\'s borders.
\'Don\'t wander too far, and don\'t exhaust your energies,\' Zephyr telepathically warned Manti and the rest.
Hiss!
Rawrgh!
All four replied and stayed within a hundred-meter distance from Zephyr.
\'Hm?\' Zephyr\'s eyes narrowed as he sensed a change in the air. He looked up and immediately told Manti and the others, \'Incoming above!\'
Manti and Mera jumped on top of the building where Zephyr was sitting and looked up at the sky. As for Bas and Iss, they remained on the ground, but with their long bodies, when they looked up, they were almost at the same height as the others.
The stars in the sky had started to fade as the first light of the day began to creep from the east. However, because of this, they could see several magic-infused arrows rain coming down from the sky.
The first to respond was Bas and Iss. They opened their mouths and let out a shockwave that instantly destroyed the arrows that entered their range.
Next, Manti and Mera breathed out green with purple and reddish-purple flames, sending the rest of the arrows into explosions.
Zephyr looked at Manti and the others, black lines appearing on his head.
Didn\'t he tell them not to exhaust their energies just a moment ago? Why are they wasting too much energy to get rid of these arrows?
From all sides, army soldiers appeared while throwing several black hexagonal-shaped stones at them.
Zephyr\'s eyes narrowed when he saw the stones. He was familiar with those stones because the Templar Code had used them on him countless times when they were chasing him in the Shaiha Ruins.
Anti-cast magic stones.
Zephyr\'s eyes glowed red as he summoned his orbs. Normally he would only summon ten orbs. However, he could not destroy all those stones in time with just ten orbs. Thus, he summoned a hundred orbs at once.
The air was suddenly filled with black hexagonal stones and dark red orbs.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Red concentrated magic energy beams shot out from the orbs destroying the stones at once. In an instant, their surroundings were filled with clouds of smoke, reducing their visibility.
Realizing this fact, Zephyr instinctively roused his magic. The air in the surrounding instantly stirred as a powerful wind surged out, forcing the cloud of smoke outward.
"ARGH!"
Agonized screaming followed as the powerful wind pushed outward, affecting all soldiers who actually took the chance to close in on them by hiding within the cloud of smoke.
Zephyr controlled the orbs and aimed at the soldiers, shooting them with concentrated red magic energy beams.
Manti and the others were also enraged after seeing so many soldiers succeed in approaching their territory. They released magic attacks, instantly reducing the enemy\'s numbers.
Outside the city, in the makeshift tent, the expressions of Gael and the other Grand Masters changed suddenly.
They had seen \'Kyran\' release a powerful attack to rid the surrounding cloud of smoke. However, that was not an attack that a Void mage would use.
"That\'s... Wind magic."
One of the Grand Masters commented, breaking the silence.
"Impossible!"
Another shouted.
"Did he learn Wind runes and summon Wind magic?"
"He is a forbidden magic user," Gael replied with a scowl.
The others looked at him in confusion. Some army members possessed low to medium-risk forbidden magic, and they could still use other magic they knew the runes, albeit not as powerful as their innate magic.
What did the Grand Marshal mean when he said that?
Gael saw the confusion on everyone\'s faces. It was no wonder. Not all of them were aware that Kyran\'s magic was Void. They only knew that Kyran was a forbidden magic user that could control powerful beasts. For all they knew, his magic was Mind Control or something along that line. Thus, he was able to control powerful beasts. But at most, his magic could only be considered a medium-risk.
Feeling an incoming headache, Gael was in a dilemma. Should he tell them the truth? However, after witnessing \'Kyran\' use Wind magic, Gael felt something was a miss. Princess Haylee had told him that Kyran could not use other magic like her. Thus, as long as he kept a close watch on Kyran\'s use of the Void magic, they should be able to subdue him.
Unfortunately, Gael had only seen Kyran use his magic a few times when he fought Deception. Nevertheless, he was positive Kyran\'s magic could not produce wind-like effects.
"Expedite the magic array creation, and continue with the operation. I need to contact someone," Gael said after a long pause and left at once.
All of them could only watch him leave the tent before glancing at each other; confusion reflected in each of their eyes.
