“That’s great! Thank you, You Yue!” Zhuo Ma looked at Sima You Yue greatfully. “Don’t worry! We will make it up to you!” They knew that hiring a beast tamer to tame a beast would be extremely expensive. But even it meant selling all their possessions, they absolutely needed to increase their family’s might.
Sima You Yue said nothing, not thinking much about this compensation. The reason that she agreed to help them was because while she was taming the phoenix, she realised that the energy that received back from the process helped her spirit energy to recover. Although it only helped a little, even a little help was good.
“Even a beast that is lower than fourth rank sacred beast is alright. But if you can catch one that is of a higher rank then you will be able to get more powerful spirit beasts.” Sima You Yue said. “I’m too lazy to go ahead, so I’ll wait here for you.”
“Alright! We’ll capture them and come back!” Zhuo Ma said, smiling. “With a phoenix, would we be unable to catch anything? She climbed unto the phoenix’s back, and called her family members up as well before they flew up to the sky.
Sima You Yue walked towards the rocks below the nest and sat down to rest. There was the aura of the phoenix there, and so other spirit beasts wouldn’t dare to approach the area.
“Yue Yue, we’ve finally been able to contact you! Are you alright?” Little Roar voiced out, excited and worried at the same time.
“I’m alright.” Sima You Yue said, smiling weakly. “How’s everyone?”
“We’re all alright, just that we were unable to reach you, so we were worried sick.” Little Roar said. “What happened there?”
“While at the void, we met people who wanted to fight, and it disrupted the space, and so I got hurt by the void. Because of that, I lost contact with the spirit pagoda and the space ring.” Sima You Yue said. “But now I’m better, so I can open the space ring again. I think that soon enough, the spirit pagoda will recover too. At that time, you guys will be able to come out too.”
“That’s good, then.” Little Roar said. “Yue Yue, where are you now?”
“I’m in the outskirts, but I’m not sure which part I am at exactly.” Thinking about this gave Sima You Yue a headache.
As Little Roar listened to the surroundings, it called out, “The outskirts? It’s difficult for people in the outskirts to reach the center, how are you going to get to the Divine Devil Valley then?”
Sima You Yue had no idea either, and said, “I’m not sure. I’ve never been at the outskirts before, I’ll try to find out when I reach a more major area.”
“I guess that’s the only way.” Little Roar said.
“Help me to tell them not to worry, in a little while more you will be able to come out.” Sima You Yue said.
“Alright.”
Sima You Yue and Little Roar continued to chat until Zhuo Ma and the rest returned.
“You Yue, we’ve caught three spirit beasts. Two of them are first grade sacred beasts, and one is a ninth grade divine rank beast.” Zhuo Ma said. “Since you’ve just tamed a sacred beast, we’ll return these and wait for you to recover before you tame them, okay?”
Sima You Yue looked at the three beast, and none of them were herd beasts. They wouldn’t have dared to touch those who were herd beasts.
“Let’s just tame them here.” She stood up and walked over.
“Here? Don’t you need to rest?” Zhuo Ma asked.
“Nope.” Sima You Yue saw that the three beasts had already lost their ability to move. It seems like this phoenix had directed its anger unto these beasts.
“You can leave them here and continue to catch more beasts.” Sima You Yue said. “We’ll work according the the number that you can capture in these two days.”
“R-Really?” Zhuo Ma asked in disbelief. Sima You Yue nodded.
“But… We don’t have enough money to pay the fee.” Zhuo Ran said.
The fact that Sima You Yue to tame their beasts was a big deal. Normally, it was hard to get a beast tamer to tame even one. But they knew that the fee for taming a spirit beast was not cheap. They were able to afford it if she tamed a few, but how were they going to afford taming a whole bunch of them?
“We haven’t had that much money in the past few years.” Zhuo Ma thought about the difficulties back home, and was so embarrassed that her face turned red.
“One for a thousand mid-tier crystals.” Sima You Yue said. “You only have two days.” One beast for just one thousand mid-tier crystals? The entire Zhuo family was shocked, but they quickly regained their senses and excitedly set off again to catch more beasts. If taming one beast only cost one thousand mid-tier crystals, then even if there were ten beasts then it would only cost ten thousand mid-tier crystals, and bringing a hundred would only be ten thousand mid-tier crystals! Back then, the beast tamer that the Jiang family had brought required twenty thousand high-grade crystals to tame a single beast. Sima You Yue’s price was really low!
When Sima You Yue saw that the Zhuo family members had taken off, her gaze landed on the three spirit beasts, and she walked over to tame each one.
In the two days, the Zhuo family members continually captured and brought a few divine ranked beasts and a few sacred beasts. Each time they returned, Sima You Yue was taming those that they had caught, as if she had never stopped. They were worried that her body might not be able to carry on. In that time, they had managed to capture fifteen spirit beasts, and Sima You Yue took three or four days to tame them all.
All those who went along were the more important members of the Zhuo family. They left four for the other members of the family, and the rest for those who were present at that very?moment.
After Sima You Yue had tamed them all, she told Zhuo Ma that she would like to recluse for two days, and Zhuo Ma immediately set up a protection array. She agreed to it quickly, since this place was not fully safe. She set up an array below the nest and went into reclusion. Since the Zhuo family members all had spirit beasts now, they decided to enter the mountains to see what resources they might be able to find. Only Zhuo Ran and Zhuo Ma remained to watch over Sima You Yue.
Looking at Sima You Yue, who was training within the array, Zhuo Ran could not help but sigh. His daughter was right. Looking at Zhuo Ma’s expression, he sighed again and said, “My child, he does not belong here, and cannot remain here.”
Zhuo Ma’s expression stiffened, but she replied, saying, “I understand, Father.”
“As long as you do.” Zhuo Ran looked as his own daughter and felt a tinge of heartache. She was a woman of high standards, and now she had finally found a man that she fancied, yet the outcome was not to be. Zhuo Ran stared at Sima You Yue as she trained.
A few days before, when she was looking at Sima You Yue, she knew that he was someone with a story and would not be able to live at a place like this for long. But this did not change her feelings for him. But if he let Zhuo Ma know that Sima You Yue was a woman, then Zhuo Ma would not have displayed the same amount of determination as she did.
In the past few days, Sima You Yue’s body was steadily recovering. With the help of the spiritual energy gained from taming the beasts, she could feel a loosening and a movement in the parts of her spirit reservoir that had previously been shackled down. This time of reclusion was so that she would finally be unable to shackle that part of her spirit energy and recover all her strength.
CRACK—
After about a thousand over breakthroughs, the last shackle was finally broken, and she even heard the audible sound of the shackle breaking open. Her spirit energy was finally free, and it circulated around her body, regaining its powers within her.
WOOSH–
She comfortably let out a great sigh and opened her eyes, her eyes shining like a torch.
