I Hate Systems

Chapter 435: Truck-Kun

Currently, she was prostrated on the floor, acting like an underling that had committed a grave mistake.

“Eh? What’s happening here? Who are…you?” Standing awkwardly before the angel was a short teenager, sporting jet-black hair and a lean body that accentuated his androgynous features.

He then looked around, observing the vast, seemingly infinite space around him, gazing at his pristine appearance as he muttered, “Wasn’t I crossing the road just now…”

“Am I…dead?” He arrived at the conclusion, sighing for some reason.

“So, who are you?” He looked at the angel, scratching his cheek in confusion as the other party seemed intent to continue kissing the floor.

“Well…” The angel slowly picked herself up, dusting her pristine white blue fabric as she coughed awkwardly before exclaiming with a cheerful tone, “Welcome, brave human. I am God!”

“A God, huh.” The teenager nodded, “Well? It means I’m dead, right? Didn’t you say that you committed a mistake before?”

“W-Well,” The angel faced the other way, muttering something incoherent before acting like everything from before hadn’t happened, “Now! You have two options as an apology from me.”

She raised her index finger, “First! You can be reborn on Earth, in a family of your choice. But, do note that there are a lot of complications involved in this. Honestly, it’ll be too troublesome, so I won’t bother with it if I were you.”

“What’s the second?” The youth asked nonchalantly, as if he had expected it before.

“You’ll be reincarnated into the world of Fantasia as one of the chosen Heroes.” The angel said, waving her hand as a long list of words appeared on a screen instantly, “You’ll be able to choose the abilities of your preference from this. Every Hero will obtain one special ability on this list. All are S-Ranked Skills, the highest of their kind in Fantasia.”

“You did mention that you killed me…”

“Wa…We-well, sometimes, exceptions can arise you see.” The angel said in a fluster, “Y-You can take two Skills.”

“Sure, I’ll take these two then.” The teenager said, instantly making his choice.

“Eh?” The angel was surprised, “Are you sure you want these two? There are better Skills here you know.”

“It’s fine.” The teenager said, waving his hand as he walked away, “I just want to live a normal life.”

The angel stared at his receding back before sighing, “There isn’t a portal here for you to walk into though.”

“O-Of course! I knew that!” The teenager blushed in embarrassment as the angel flicked her finger, causing his figure to vanish.

“I’ve sent one more…” She sighed before taking off to the air, vanishing from view when immediately, dozens of beams slammed into the place, manifesting as humans that seemed to be…school children?

And by the looks of it, they were from the same class.

“Where is this place?” Someone muttered.

“Everyone, please calm down.” The Class Monitor hurriedly came to the front, “Let’s calm down first before assessing our situation.”

“Children of Earth! I greet you all!” The angel had been observing their actions for a good few minutes before deciding to show herself.

This time, her appearance was different. She resembled a human at first glance, but sported blue hair and eyes, possessing the lower body of a fish with an ethereal aura, stating with a benevolent tone, “My children, I have brought you here, requesting you to aid my world and save it from destruction.”

“Please return us to our world!” One of them shouted in nervousness, “My mom! I’m her only family. She’s sick! I have to take care of her. Please, send me back!”

“Unfortunately, even if I wish to do so, the situation is too dangerous. But,” The angel said proudly, “If you complete your mission in the world of Fantasia, I’ll be able to bring you back to Earth. And, I’ll also give you some perks that would allow you and your family to live content lives.”

She then winked at the nervous girl, snapping her finger to show a screen where her mother had recovered from her sickness and was working safe and sound, “I’ll take care of your families in the meantime. So, you can go ahead without any worries.”

“If she’s telling us this much, then guess we have no other choice.” The Class Monitor made eye contact with a couple of intellectuals in his class, nodding before gazing at the angel, “We accept this mission.”

“Now, before you leave, please select the abilities that would accompany your journey as Heroes. You can only bring one ability with you. But fear not! They are all S-Ranked Skills.” The angel reassured them.

Slowly, the children selected their Skills one after another. And once they were done, the angel said magnanimously, “My children! I hope you’ll be able to save my world.”

She waved her hand, enveloping them in a bright light before sending them away.

The moment they vanished, she grunted in annoyance, “Children my fart! I’m unmarried! Seriously, this is soo annoying! Just how many characters must I portray?”

“Be glad that you’re able to do something fun.” Suddenly, a snarky voice resounded, irritating her instantly.

“A mere truck driver dares to retort?” The angel emanated killing intent when suddenly, she was smacked in the head by the other party, silenced instantly.

“Shut up, you dumb brat! Do you know how hard it is to find potential candidates these days?” The one that smacked the angel was a middle-aged truck driver, wearing typical clothes of a truck driver, having a similar appearance and smell too.

“Oof! You stink!” The angel pinched her nose immediately as her face paled.

She then glared at him, stating, “Why have you returned? Send more candidates my way! The number of strong worlds in our control is rapidly dwindling these days. If we don’t do anything, the Systems would soon dominate everything.”

“So, why the heck have you arrived here, Truck-Kun?”
