Chapter 627 Gonors Realm

And then, the old man realized something else. If he wanted to find out more about his children, then all that he had to do was find them here in these different divine realms. He pushed himself off the ground and looked at Ambriel, with an expression that showed just how desperate he was for this.

The Angel seemed to actually be somewhat disgusted by the expression that the old man was showing them, and Eisen understood why they were. He himself felt incredibly pathetic, albeit for more reasons than one, "Please... Can you tell me how to... how to find my children here in these realms? There must be some kind of way, right? Right?" Eisen asked as his heartbeat sped up out of nervosity. The old man would honestly go so far as to beg Ambriel to let him meet the souls of his children, even if he completely despised the way that Ambriel had acted just a few hours ago, as well as the way he thought about mortals.

The Angel stared back at Eisen and looked him up and down. It seemed like they was showing a similar spiteful expression to Eisen now, seeing the way that he was acting toward them. With a smile that practically screamed ’I am superior to you’, Ambriel replied to Eisen, "Sorry, but such a thing is not possible, my dear Eisen. If you randomly run into them, then maybe you would be able to find them, but other than that, you will surely not be able to meet them." Ambriel said with a slight smile on their face, and Eisen just sunk back down onto the ground.

His emotional connection to people that he hadn’t even known really existed an hour ago was... incredible. And he understood why. Especially by regaining his memories of Trygan, Eisen realized that the emotions he felt for his past were important and valid, and that he had to feel that awy to truly find himself and the way that he used to be like.

Eisen loved his children in the other world, they were everything to him. So not even remembering what his children really looked like over here was... truly horrifying, and the old man hated himself for it. He hated the part of himself that didn’t want to prioritize figuring things about his children out, and he hated the part of himself that did this to him. The former Eisen that would just throw everything away without a second thought.

The old man ground his teeth together with such strength and ferocity that he thought they were about to shatter into pieces. But of course, this didn’t actually happen. Instead, the old man had to try and figure things out for himself for a little bit.

He stood there and took a deep breath. Then a second, then a third, and enough oxygen to think returned to Eisen’s brain, "Well... I guess all I have to do is ask them when I end up meeting the gods. Maybe they can help me find them if they’re in the realm of whoever i’m visiting." The old man quietly thought to himself.

And since Eisen figured that Trygan would have at least briefly mentioned there was another one of Eisen’s children in his divine realm, he should not have accidentally missed one of them.

Except if they were already reincarnated... which is a possibility that Eisen definitely had to consider. He wasn’t exactly sure when his last child was born, or rather when his last child had died, but it should have been at least a few thousand years ago.

The old man felt like after that... something changed and his focus probably drifted off to trying to find out how exactly you could create artificial life.

After his deep breath, Eisen looked around the room and tried to find the next gate to go through. For now, maybe distracting himself would be a good idea, and then after that, he could just ask a god about his children.

That was a good idea... right?

The old man asked Ambriel and then made his way over toward the Gate of Gonor, the God of Combat. He stepped over there and pushed the door open, after all, Eisen had promised that he would head over there next after leaving Trygan’s divine realm. And so, he would follow up on that promise.

Who knew, maybe some of his children or grandchildren became fighters that were able to get into the God of Combat’s divine realm? It was obviously possible, it’s not like Eisen expected his children to follow his footsteps and become craftsmen, of course.

With that kind of mindset, trying to ignore this pathetic side of him that was currently trying to reach the forefront of his personality at the moment, the old man made his way into the divine realm of Gonor. After Eisen stepped through the gate, on foot, he found himself standing on a simple dirt road that was leading up to a huge town in the distance.

And just from here, Eisen could tell that this place was already far, far, far larger than the town in Trygan’s realm. The portion of people that could be seen to especially fit Trygan’s requirements for his divine realm was miniscule compared to those that fit the requirements for Gonor’s divine realm, after all, so there would surely be much, much more souls gathered here.

Without even having to look for it, the old man noticed that there were people fighting near him. At the very least, he could hear the sound of metal hitting against each other.

Thinking that this was a good way to start figuring out what exactly the task for this divine realm would be, Eisen approached the place that those sounds came from, and it didn’t take long to find their source.

It was two people, one man and one woman, both of which were wearing seemingly quite comfortable clothes, fighting against each other using simple longswords.

Eisen watched them for a little while, seeing that they were just incredible combat-fanatics as they were both grinning broadly during their fight.

He was happy to see that people were truly passionate about things here. In Trygan’s realm, it seemed like everyone was just kind of spending their time however they could while waiting to be reincarnated. That was a good way to do it as well, but it seemed like things worked a little differently here, considering how you could truly see the passion in the eyes of these two people.

The old man continued to wait for a little while until the two souls were finished with their fight. It actually continued on for quite a while, an impressive while, really. During that time, Eisen was able to observe a few different things. One, while they were definitely good at what they were doing, having a good sense of combat and tactics as well as masterful reflexes, the weapons that they were making use of didn’t really seem all that... perfect for them.

Or rather, they didn’t seem perfect for their styles. Sure, there were numerous different ways to wield a sword, and these could be some of them, but as far as the old man was concerned it felt more like these two were used to fighting with other weapons and only had access to swords right now.

Like, the woman’s movements were wide, open, and seemed as if they were supposed to rely on heavy, larger weapons, while it was basically the opposite with the man. He seemed to prefer smaller and lighter weapons that required the rest of his body to be far more active and controlled during a fight.

But at the same time, the woman’s attacks were stronger and did more damage when they hit, and hte man’s attacks did less damage but instead were much faster.

Thinking that he may be able to help, the old man stood up from the place where he sat down and approached those two with a light smile on his face, "Excuse me, I didn’t want to interrupt your fight, but-"

"Holy shit, are you alive?" The woman asked immediately, interrupting Eisen with her question. The old man looked back at her with his brows raised and just nodded his head.

"Yes, I am. That’s why I don’t know how things work around here. So if possible, could you maybe tell me why exactly you’re using weapons that don’t really suit you that much?" The old man asked immediately. He didn’t really feel like committing to random smalltalk, so he wanted to get right to the point.

The man and woman looked at Eisen rather surprised, "You realized that from watching our fight?" The man asked, and Eisen slowly nodded his head.

"Mhm, I did. So, is there any specific reason to it?" The old man inquired, and the woman slowly nodded her head as she started to explain, "Yup, there’s a reason. You know, if you wanna reincarnate here, you gotta win a tournament in one of the arenas. Otherwise, if you don’t win, you lose all the items that you used during the tournament. We both just lost one and now have to use these shitty swords, ya know?"

With a slight sigh, the old man nodded his head. It seemed like he knew a good way to be acknowledged by Gonor now. He smiled at the two souls in front of him and crossed his arms, "Alright, how about I make weapons for the two of you, and in return, you tell me a little bit more about how things work in this divine realm?"

And before Eisen knew it, the two souls looked at each other, and a notification about his next quest appeared in front of the old man.
